With a heart full of pride and gratitude, I join every Auxiliary member in celebrating the Anniversary of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Since its establishment on February 9, 1972, the PCGA has stood as a shining symbol of volunteerism in action, civilians dedicating their time, skills, and passion in faithful support of the Philippine Coast Guard. From our humble beginnings, working alongside the PCG then under the Philippine Navy with the support of maritime partners like the Manila Yacht Club, we have grown into a nationwide force committed to maritime safety, search and rescue, and the protection of our marine environment.
Today, as institutionalized under Republic Act No. 9993 or the PCG Law of 2009, our role has become even more meaningful, anchored on service, strengthened by unity, and guided by love of country.
As National Director, I am deeply honored to serve alongside selfless volunteers whose dedication goes far beyond duty, it comes from the heart. You are the living spirit of bayanihan at sea.
May we continue to sail forward together, steadfast, compassionate, and committed to safeguarding our nationโs waters for generations to come.
