𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗽𝘀, 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 | 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙒𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙋𝙪𝙧𝙤𝙠 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙨, 𝙈𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙩, 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙡, 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙤 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡

On the afternoon of March 29, 2026, the Lumon Community Cateel Chapter, in collaboration with PCR Cateel, Cateel Municipal Police Station led by COP PMAJ MICHAEL P CELECIO, 1103rd Maneuver Company- Regional Mobile Force Battalion headed by PCPT ALKIE J SALIH, RPSB Cluster 3 led by PMSg JOVENCIO A SARAMOSING organized a special outreach program in celebration of National Women’s Month 2026. This year’s theme, “We for Gender Equality & Inclusive Society,” aimed to empower and educate the community, especially those in Sitio Bangas, Barangay Mainit, Cateel.

The event featured a discussion on RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and Their Children), RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law), RA 11313 (Safe Spaces Act), and Anti-terrorism efforts in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs), providing vital information on protecting women’s rights and fostering a safe community.

We were pleased to distribute Hygiene Kits, Snacks for Kids, Arroz Caldo, Ice Cream, and small amounts of money for the children, bringing smiles and support to the local residents.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING – DAVAO ORIENTAL (ORANGE WARNING

What does this mean?

👉 It is raining a lot and it may continue for hours.
👉 Flooding can happen anytime, especially in low-lying areas near rivers, creeks, and coastal zones.
👉 Landslides may occur in mountainous and sloping areas.

If you are in City of Mati, Baganga, Cateel, Governor Generoso, Tarragona, Manay, Caraga, Boston, San Isidro, please be extra careful.

⚠️ Orange Warning means flooding is already threatening. This is more serious than Yellow. It is time to prepare and stay alert.

What you should do:
✔ Avoid flooded roads and rivers
✔ Do not cross fast-moving water
✔ Stay away from landslide-prone areas
✔ Prepare your emergency kit
✔ Monitor updates from official sources

This is not to cause panic — this is to help you stay safe.
