Earlier today, June 9, 2026, officers of the Empowered League of Information Technology Education Students (ELITES), together with our adviser, Ms. Maria Cherryl Azucenas, visited 𝐈𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 to donate school supplies and cleaning materials as part of our participation in 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. 📖

While our contribution came after the official Brigada Eskwela schedule, we believe that acts of service are never too late when they are intended to support learning and uplift the community. We hope that these donations will help the students, teachers, and school personnel as they prepare for another meaningful academic year. 🏫

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Joseph P. Gregorio, Principal II, and the faculty of Ilalim Elementary School for warmly welcoming us and for making this community initiative possible.

On June 3, 2026, the Municipality of Iba proudly inaugurated the New Iba Public Market—a landmark of community progress and innovation. This event marked the launch of 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐎 (𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐄𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞), making Iba home to 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬' 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭.

Alongside the rollout of 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜-𝙌𝙍 𝙋𝙃 𝙋𝙡𝙪𝙨, a pioneering initiative of the 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙠𝙤 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨, Project METRO was successfully implemented to modernize market operations through fair, technology-driven processes that empower Ibaneño communities.

At the heart of this achievement is the 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐏𝐇 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦, composed of BSIT students Marina Camaso, Paulo Cordova, Earl Romeo Ordovez, Nikolai Roman Nepomuceno, Aaron Paul Sario, and Seann Patrick Tamondong. Guiding their journey is the leadership of Gordon College's College of Computer Studies, represented by Prof. Ronnie D. Luy, Dean; Prof. Armilyn T. Martinez, Assistant Dean; and Mr. Reynaldo G. Bautista Jr., BSIT Program Chair.

This milestone was also made possible through the support of provincial agencies—the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)—under the inspiring leadership of 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐳-𝐁𝐢ñ𝐚𝐧.

The program opened with inspiring messages from Vice Mayor Hon. Joan Ballesteros and Mayor Manquiz-Biñan, who emphasized the role of emerging technologies in strengthening community connections. Their vision was echoed by Prof. Ronnie D. Luy, DTI Zambales Provincial Director Dr. Enrique D. Tacbad, DILG Provincial Director Ms. Melissa Nipal LGOO VII, DICT representative Mr. Kevin Lords Montevirgen, and Market Vendors Association President Mr. Ruben Mauhay.

This achievement is more than a technological upgrade—it is a bold vision for smarter governance and inclusive growth. By becoming the first fully digitized public market in Zambales, Iba sets a benchmark for other municipalities aspiring to embrace innovation and digital transformation. And with the new tool, the digitization of the New Iba Public Market ensures transparent governance, vendor accountability, and consumer protection through digital records and monitoring.

The success of this launch reflects the relentless dedication and collaboration of the OneDev PH team, the College of Computer Studies at Gordon College, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Iba. Together, they have bridged the gap between innovative code and community impact.

One of the strongest messages from the seminar was the reminder to set aside judgment and recognize the value of every individual. Leadership, after all, is not measured solely by influence or authority—it is reflected in our ability to create spaces where people feel safe, respected, heard, and empowered. 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝. 🫂

The discussion also served as a call to action. While we may have our own limitations, we also have a responsibility to respond and take action whenever it is right and just and when the situation calls for it. As student leaders and changemakers, our responsibility extends beyond leading projects and organizations—it includes fostering environments where empathy, equality, and respect thrive.

As the saying goes, “𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮.”May this learning inspire us to become leaders who not only lead with competence, but also with compassion, courage, and a genuine commitment to building a better tomorrow for all. 🧡

On June 1, 2026, the Empowered League of Information Technology Education Students (ELITES), student leaders Khmer Aquino, Gian Lanz Jose, and Precious Bongala participated in the Day 1 of highly anticipated 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, with thetheme, “𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰.” and the seminar about "𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐔𝐩 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭" held at the SMX Convention Center, SM Central.

The gathering was highlighted by an inspiring and thought-provoking session with 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐮𝐩𝐨, 𝐂𝐄𝐎 & 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟒:𝟏𝟒 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟒:𝟏𝟒 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, and renowned author. One of the most striking moments of the seminar was a powerful call for self-reflection. Sir Jonas challenged the attendees to pause, look inward, and honestly ask themselves what kind of student leaders they truly are. He reminded everyone that building a progressive and thriving organization relies heavily on leaders who know how to connect, listen, and articulate shared goals with empathy and clarity. Great leadership does not just command; it communicates, empowers, and unites.

This experience serves as a powerful reminder that our ability to lead effectively within our organization is deeply tied to how well we understand and are understood by our peers. True leadership requires constant refinement of how we share our vision and support our fellow students.

May these profound reflections guide us in fostering a stronger, more communicative, and progressive ELITES community where every voice is valued and understood.

Standing at the forefront of this technological breakthrough, the 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐏𝐇 team—composed of students under the BSIT Program, Marina Camaso, Paulo Cordova, Earl Romeo Ordovez, Nikolai Roman Nepomuceno, Aaron Paul Sario, and Seann Patrick Tamondong. The team was accompanied by the leadership of the College of Computer Studies at Gordon College, including Prof. Ronnie D. Luy, College Dean, Prof. Armilyn T. The program opened with a forward-looking welcome address from 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐀𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨, who underscored the critical role of digital solutions in modernizing local governance. At its core, Project METRO is engineered to redefine market inspection and compliance tracking. By transitioning manual, paper-based enforcement into a centralized digital ecosystem. For the community, this means enhanced regulatory enforcement, heightened transparency, and a more secure, consumer-friendly local economy.

A breakthrough of this magnitude is the result of relentless hard work and cross-sector collaboration. Heartiest congratulations to the OneDev PH team, the College of Computer Studies, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Antonio for bridging the gap between innovative code and community impact.
