The Kind-hearted Alliance of Advocates for Bayawan Youth (KAABAY) successfully conducted its monthly meeting on March 17, 2026, under the guidance of its adviser, Ma’am Sharmela Ridad, together with the KAABAY officers.

A key highlight of the meeting was the planning and preparation for the AHD Film Festival 2026, one of the organization’s major initiatives aimed in promoting youth development through creative expression. The project seeks to provide a platform for young individuals to showcase their talents in filmmaking while encouraging meaningful storytelling that reflects real-life experiences, values, and social awareness.

The officers actively engaged in collaborative discussions, sharing ideas and strategies to ensure the success of the festival. Through this initiative, KAABAY continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering the youth by fostering creativity, leadership, and active community participation.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐊𝐀𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐘 held its year-end meeting 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, at 𝐒𝐭𝐚. 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Ma’am 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 led the session with the 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬. The meeting was all about preparations for the upcoming activities next year. We talked through each plan step by step, shared ideas on how to make things go well, and got ready for everything that’s coming up. We’re making sure we’re all set for a great new year with fun, meaningful activities.

The KAABAY (Kita Ang Advocates for Bayawanon Youth) team is filled with immense gratitude for the opportunity to have spoken at the KK Assembly of Brgy. Cansumalig, Bayawan City, earlier today, October 18, 2025.

Our H.E.A.R.T to HEART Talk provided crucial awareness on HIV/AIDS/STI, Early Sexual Encounters, Adolescent Health, Reproductive Health, and Teenage Pregnancy.

Empowering our youth with this vital information ensures they can make informed choices that will positively shape their personal futures and contribute to the socio-economic and political strength of our community. Thank you Brgy. Cansumalig for having us!
