The Guidance Office successfully held its Career Guidance Program this afternoon. It was an insightful session dedicated to helping our students reflect, plan, and prepare for life after college.

‎Our first speaker, Ms. Jeah Alvarez, RAgr., shared her talk "The Wonderful Me: Do I Have What It Takes?" She encouraged students to assess their strengths, values, and passions. She emphasized that knowing yourself is the first step in choosing a career path where you can truly thrive, whether that’s in agriculture, science, entrepreneurship, public service, or any field you choose to pursue. She also encouraged everyone to prepare and aim for the board exam as one key step toward professional growth.

‎Next, Mr. Joemel Labrador, MSA, RAgr., discussed "The Greatest Impact: The Job that Pays for a Better Future." Beyond career choices, he stressed the importance of building good relationships and maintaining a positive attitude. He encouraged students to reconcile with classmates they may have had misunderstandings with this school year, because the people we grow with today may be the colleagues, partners, or mentors we work with tomorrow. He reminded everyone that technical skills get you hired, but attitude and character determine how far you go. He also urged students to take the board exam, highlighting how it opens doors to greater opportunities and impact. A fulfilling career balances personal growth, financial stability, and contribution to the community.

‎Through the Career Decision Making Difficulty Survey and the open forums, students were able to voice their concerns, ask questions, and gain clarity about their next steps after graduation.

‎We sincerely thank our resource speakers for their time, wisdom, and encouragement to pursue licensure, Ms. Ma. Wilma M. Maravilla, MAEd, RGC, for facilitating the program, and Ms. Flordeliza U. Ampusta for her closing message. To all BSA students who participated actively, thank you for showing up for your future.

‎The choices we make today are the seeds we plant for tomorrow. May we choose paths that allow us to grow, build strong relationships, pass the board, and succeed with integrity in whatever field we enter.

CMYC Peer Facilitators Club representatives joined The Negros Peer Action Summit 2026 at UNOR Gymnasium on April 11, 2026. The theme, "Digital Minds, Human Connections: Creating Safe Spaces through Peer Support in Modern Communities", was explored with insights from speaker Miss Aileen Tranquilo, PhD, RGC and led by Negros Occidental Peer Facilitators Association.
CMYC Peer Facilitators Club was well-represented by Nica Panaguiton, CMYC PFC President, and members Jodell Morin, Allen Mordice, Joross Otero, John Chinette Nuñez, and Jeremiah Panaguiton.

Joross shares: "I am very grateful for the opportunity. I met incredible peer facilitators from other institutions and gained insights about creating safe spaces through peer support in modern communities, where responsible engagement in social platforms can empower, uplift or break a person. So as a peer facilitator, a frontliner of peer support, I will make sure to use my platform to empower and not danger anyone."

Jodell adds: "This is my first time attending the Peer Summit, and I'm so thankful to be one of the attendees! I really enjoyed the entire program; there was a lot of learning that I gained. My one key takeaway... is the importance of creating safe spaces in the digital world through peer support. The summit highlighted the need for inclusive and supportive communities where individuals can connect, share, and empower each other."

Allen says: "My experience in attending the Negros Peer Action Summit... As a first timer, I am glad because I met new friends from other schools. I'm so grateful being participants of that event. I gain insights about strategic community engagement while building networks with peers, local leaders and industry professionals to drive change."

Jeremiah: "As I listened to discussion earlier, so many things that came up to my mind and I realized I wasn't alone. The peer summit was a reminder that our stories, though unique, often intersect and I'm so grateful for being part of the organization (PFC). It sparked a sense of community and growth. Connecting with others digitally doesn't have to mean disconnecting from humanity peer support shows us we can have both."

Chino: "It was a great experience and enjoyable moment to be cherished attending the peer action summit. Sharing vibes, positivity, kindness and Friendship. Learning about new things, strategies and techniques on how to improve yourself confidence to face and approach new challenges that you’re facing. Blessed and loved PFC 🩵"

Nica, PFC President, reflects: "I'm grateful for the trust and opportunity to co-host the event. Emceeing pushed me to refine my facilitation skills and be more present in connecting with others. As frontliners of peer support, we have a role in creating safe spaces on social media, let's use our platforms to uplift, support, and empower each other. I'm committed to championing digital empathy and responsible online engagement, one post at a time."

Thank you for the experience! Back at CMYC, we'll continue to foster a culture of empathy, support, and responsible digital citizenship.

Special thanks to CMYC for the support, Miss Wilma Maravilla (Guidance Counselor), and Mr. Marvin Cordova (Peer Adviser) for making this possible.

Meanwhile, the PFC PHOTOBOOTH captured laughter, bright smiles, and unforgettable moments, framing the joy that filled the day. We are deeply grateful to every student, teacher, and guest who contributed their spirit and energy, turning this celebration into a lasting memory of unity and grace. May the love we shared continue to inspire and guide us in all that we do.

Hey Mingyuanians!!!

Peer Facilitators Club here

Merry Christmas!!!

No gift cards. No fancy wrapping.
Just real talk, real care, and real love for every single one of you.

You showed up — for each other, for yourselves, for the late‑night study seshes, the breakdowns, the breakthroughs.
We saw you. We heard you. We held space for you — even when your “I’m fine” was really a whisper asking for help.

And to those who aren’t feeling the sparkle right now —
this message is for you.

It’s okay if the lights feel dim.
It’s okay if the holidays feel heavy.
You’re still seen. Still loved. Still held.
We’re not here to pretend everything’s perfect — we’re here to sit with you in the messy, quiet, real moments.

So whether you’re laughing with family, scrolling alone, or just breathing through the day —
you belong here.
You’re not forgotten. You’re not alone.

We’ll be here when you’re back —
same desk, same hearts, same “I got you” energy.

Merry Christmas, you beautiful humans.
May you find peace — even in the silence.
May you feel loved — even when it’s hard.
And may you know: you deserve all the joy, rest, and grace this season can hold.

Your forever Peer Facilitators
Still listening. Still loving. Still righy here for you.

Sharing the spirit of giving and kindness in our community!

Our Peer Facilitators Club recently participated in two meaningful initiatives led by our amazing SSG, under the guidance of SASO and support of our school admin.

First, we joined a community clean-up drive, working together to make our neighborhood a cleaner and better place for everyone.

Then, we had a special feeding and gift-giving program for the little ones in our community. It was heartwarming to see smiles on their faces and knowing we've made a difference in their lives.

Grateful for these opportunities to serve and collaborate with such a wonderful team! Together, we're spreading kindness and making a positive impact in our community.

But this is just the beginning! We're excited for more projects and initiatives to come, as we continue to serve and uplift our community.

As Peer Facilitators, our mission is to empower students, foster growth, and build a supportive community where everyone can thrive. We're committed to making a difference, one act of kindness at a time!

Big shoutout to our SSG leaders, SASO, school admin, and all the clubs and organizations who worked tirelessly to make these events a success!
