A Legacy Worth Remembering

If you belong to an industry or government institution that relies on research, innovation, and technology emerging from the academic community…

Or if you have ever benefited from the modern laboratories, advanced equipment, and specialized facilities of the UP Science Complex—

there is someone who deserves to be remembered and thanked.

A leader who was not always seen at the forefront, but whose vision, support, and determination played an important role behind the establishment of a significant institution for science and technology in our country.

That man was Congressman Luis R. Villafuerte, Sr.

The establishment of the National Science Complex and Technology Incubation Park at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City was made possible, to a significant extent, through the support and assistance of Congressman Luis R. Villafuerte, Sr., in partnership with the Philippine-American Academy of Science and Engineering (PAASE).

His contribution may not always be visible in the buildings and facilities we see today—but his role in helping advance the country’s scientific and technological capabilities is a legacy worth remembering and honoring.

On September 9, 2026, churches from different parts of Camarines Sur gathered at LRV Function Hall, Balatas, Naga City, for a meaningful evening of fellowship, worship, and thanksgiving.

Facilitated and organized by the Alliance of Ministries of Metro Naga (AMMNI), the gathering was a beautiful celebration of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
