The 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐬: 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞ñ𝐨𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 is a youth-centered program aimed at combating disinformation and promoting truth through Media and Information Literacy (MIL), which aims to empower us to evaluate information, uphold truth, and build a responsible electorate.

Rooted in the foundation of the Movers for Facts program of Rappler, Facts First PH, Deutsche Welle Akademie, and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, the project re-echoes the insights and strategies shared by 15 youth leaders from across Luzon, which also took place in Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao, and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia and Indonesia.

With the theme “𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆,” Talingkas empowers the Iskolars kan Ciudad with the knowledge and tools to uphold honesty, transparency, and accountability. It also emphasizes the critical role of media literacy in fostering informed voting decisions and ensuring the public has access to credible information during the 2025 Philippine elections.
