𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗭 𝗕𝗘𝗘
The Supreme Student Government is committed to promote awareness and understanding of Contemporary Issues, by providing its fellow students an avenue to learn, participate and express opinions on pressing local, national and international social and political issues confronting the society.

June 17, 2023 (1:00 - 3:00 pm)
School Library

𝗠𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗦:
1. The contest is open to all Grade 10 students.
2. Each section shall form one (1) team composed of 2 members.
3. The formulation of test questions shall be based on the following: local, national, and international political and social contemporary issues, and the basics of the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines.
4. Participants are expected to bring a whiteboard, black marker and eraser.
5. English or Filipino shall be used as the official language in the conduct of the quiz.
6. Participants shall be given a total of twenty-seven (27) questions, of which ten (10) are EASY, nine (9) are AVERAGE, and eight (8) are DIFFICULT.
7. Points for every correct answer shall be given as follows: One (1) point shall be given for each “easy” question, two (2) points for each “average” question, and three (3) points for each “difficult question.
8. Participants shall be given (5) seconds to answer each question. For questions that require enumeration, the time limit will be extended to five more seconds.
9. The quizmaster shall only read the question twice. Countdown shall start after the question was read the second time and the quizmaster says “GO”. When the quizmaster says “STOP” or “TIME IS UP,” contestants must raise their answers to the audience and to the Assessing Committee until such time that the Proctors have verified or confirmed the answer. A general reminder shall be given to all. However, if the participant still violates, his/her answer shall not be considered.
10. A participant shall be allowed to change answer within the allotted time.
11. In case of a tie, a clincher question shall be asked.
12. Scores shall be tabulated after the difficult round.
13. In case of inquiry during the actual quiz proceedings, the following procedures shall be observed: Only the participant or the class adviser is allowed to raise inquiry before the next question is read. The inquiry shall be addressed orally to the chair of the assessing committee who shall recognize the inquiry. The chair shall announce the decision upon the deliberation with the members of the committee.
14. The decision of the Assessing Committee is final.
15. Certificates of recognition will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th winners.
16. Last call for registration will be on June 13, 2023 until 12:00 nn.

𝑻𝒂𝒐 𝒃𝒂 𝒕𝒐? 𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 "𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒚" 𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒐. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒛𝒛 🫢

𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗬 𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗬𝗢 is a guessing game invented and popularized by Eat Bulaga, the longest-running noontime variety show in the Philippines. It is one of the popular and most awaited TV segments in Eat Bulaga just next to Juan for All, All for Juan. Pinoy is a colloquial word for Filipino. Henyo means genius. It is a game of logical thinking, common sense, visualisation, wit in words-association, strategies and stock knowledge. The game has become so popular that people started playing them at homes, parties, and even in corporate team buildings.

JHS Computer Laboratory

𝗠𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗦:
1. The contest is open to all JHS and SHS students.
2. Each grade level shall form one (1) team composed of 2 members.
3. The contest shall adhere to the theme, “𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗔𝗡. 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡. 𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡”.
4. Players are seated facing each other. Hands are tied because no hand gesture is allowed, and no looking around.
5. One as the guesser and the other one who is only allowed to respond to the guesser’s question with three options: “Oo” (Yes), “Hindi” (No) or “Siguro” (Maybe).
6. The guesser must be blindfolded.
7. The guesser will then try to guess the word. He/she needs to ask questions based on different major categories: Person (Tao), Animal (Hayop), Place (Lugar), Food (Pagkain) and Thing (Bagay).
8. The word that the player should guess is flashed on a board/metacards, which is above the head of the other player. The words are predetermined and prepared by the organizers. The word may be a single or compound word; but not a phrase. It may be in Filipino or English.
9. Contestants have two minutes each turn to guess the word. The timer starts at once when the word is revealed.
10. 5 seconds shall be added as penalty to the one responding other answers than “Oo” (Yes), “Hindi” (No) or “Siguro” (Maybe).
11. The timer stops when the participants guessed the correct word. Penalties shall be added to the end time. The computed end time will be the final result.
12. If all contestants got the Henyo word correctly, the fastest players win the game or the team with the shortest time wins.
13. Certificates of recognition will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th winners.
14. Last call for registration will be on June 13, 2023 until 12:00 nn.

𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗢𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗼
• Be quick in responding and giving clues.
• Practice before playing the game.
• Develop strategies in responding and giving clues or categories.
• Be consistent in throwing clues. For example, ask "tao, hayop, bagay, lugar, pagkain" always in this order.
• Develop an order in enumerating words. For example, enumerate countries in Asia in alphabetical order.
• Think logically rather than randomly. Have a sense of common sense.
• List related words before the actual game.

𝗠𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗦:
1. The contest is open to all JHS and SHS students.
2. The contest is divided into two categories:
• Category A: Grade 7, 8, 9
• Category B: Grade 10, 11, 12
3. Each section shall form one (1) team composed of minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 members.
4. Bulletin boards must be theme-inspired. This year’s theme will be "𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗔𝗡. 𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡. 𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗦𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡”.
5. The theme must be placed in the center of the bulletin board and next to it are trivia’s about the celebration.
6. Half of the blackboard (the board away from the door) and chalk (different colors) will be used.
7. Placing/pasting/posting anything that would damage the blackboard is prohibited.
8. Each section will be given one (1) hour (3:00 – 4:00 pm) on June 17 to finish their bulletin board display. Participants are advised to make their draft of their lay-out/design in a bond paper and submit it to your respective class adviser & AP teacher for coaching/monitoring purposes.
9. Judging will immediately follow (4:00 – 4:30 pm)
10. The decision of the judges is final.
11. Certificates of recognition will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th winners.
12. Last call for registration will be on June 13, 2023 until 12:00 nn.
