The Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) successfully conducted its activity in Barangay Dauman, where young participants came together to learn more about leadership, public service, and their role in the community. The activity became even more meaningful as the participants took part in the election of their JYPO officials, giving them a firsthand experience of how leadership and democratic participation work. ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธโœจ

Seeing the youth confidently step forward, share their ideas, support their fellow participants, and choose the leaders they believe in was truly inspiring. Through this experience, they learned that being a leader is not simply about having a positionโ€”it is about being responsible, listening to others, working together, and having the heart to serve. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

Congratulations to the newly elected JYPO officials of Barangay Dauman! May you lead with humility, serve with sincerity, and always remember the people who placed their trust in you. And to all the young participants, thank you for your enthusiasm and active participation. This is only the beginning of your journey as young leaders. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ’™

More than an event, this moment marks the beginning of a new journeyโ€”one shaped by leadership, service, responsibility, and the courage to step forward for others. It is a reminder that the voice of the youth carries purpose, and that every generation has the power to create meaningful change within its community. โœจ

As new leaders emerge and take on the responsibility entrusted to them, they carry with them more than titles. They carry the hopes, aspirations, and dreams of the young people they are called to serve.

JYPOs Batch ALAB was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by our LYDO-Designate, Mr. Elmizar Aleria Patac, for the successful completion of the 5-Day Immersion at the Local Government Unit of Montevista.

Throughout the immersion, JYPOs experienced real public service by working closely with different municipal offices. The program enhanced their leadership skills, discipline, and understanding of good governance.

This recognition reflects JYPO Batch ALABโ€™s dedication, commitment, and significant contribution to the community. It also serves as an inspiration to fellow youth to actively participate and serve with excellence.

JYPOs actively participated in the Fire Safety Training led by BFP Personnel of Montevista, especially our very own Acting Fire Marshal, FINSP Jerick G. Riquelman.

The training covered the basic usage of fire extinguisher, CPR, and essential fire prevention and safety tips. Through hands-on demonstrations, JYPOs learned how to respond quickly and properly during fire emergencies and other life-threatening situations.

The activity strengthened our awareness, preparedness, and sense of responsibility as youth leaders. Equipped with these skills, JYPO is now more capable of promoting fire safety and helping ensure the safety of the community.

JYPO gained valuable knowledge during the Drug Abuse Prevention and Awareness Symposium facilitated by PSMS Rogelyn F. Torres of PNP Montevista.

The symposium aimed to educate the youth on the harmful effects of illegal drugs and the importance of making responsible choices. PSMS Torres discussed the causes, signs, and consequences of drug abuse, as well as the laws and programs that protect the community.

JYPO is now more equipped to spread awareness and inspire fellow youth to choose a life free from drugs.

Day 3 of the Junior Youth Public Officials (JYPO) Week 2026 combined social welfare outreach, legislative training, and creative reflection as delegates navigated another full schedule of leadership immersion.

The morning began with an institutional visit to Bahay Pag-asa, a transitional and rehabilitation facility for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL). The interaction featured presentation numbers prepared by both the delegates and the facilityโ€™s residents. During the visit, the residents showcased their practical skills in upcycling used clothing into functional crafts, such as doormats and potholders. The visit concluded with joint musical performances and heartfelt conversations between the young officials and the resident kuyas.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to local lawmaking through an educational session organized by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. Facilitated by legislative staff member Ms. Pamela Engalan, the discussion detailed the fundamentals of provincial legislation and policy development. Delegates were then guided on an SP office tour to observe firsthand the administrative operations that support the legislative branch.

To wrap up the day, the junior officials participated in a creative art session, providing them with a structured outlet to process their experiences, articulate their perspectives, and reflect on the leadership lessons gained throughout the week.
