From 237 barangays across the province, SK Poblacion proudly secured a place in the Top 9 Most Outstanding SKs of Davao de Oro. This recognition is more than just an award — it is a celebration of the collective effort of our youth, our leaders, and our community working hand in hand for progress.

We in Youth Journalist part of the Barangay Youth Development Council (BYDC) honor this achievement as a shared victory. It reminds us that every voice, every action, and every dream of our kabatan-onan matters in building a brighter future. Truly, no youth is left behind when we journey together.

SK Poblacion Monkayo Recognized in Provincial SK Functionality Assessment

August 4, 2025 | Monkayo, Davao de Oro

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Poblacion, Monkayo proudly represented their community during the Provincial Sangguniang Kabataan Functionality Assessment (SKPFA) held on August 4, 2025. With dedication, unity, and a strong commitment to service, the SK Poblacion demonstrated excellence in leadership and governance.

Out of 237 barangays across Davao de Oro, SK Poblacion, Monkayo was honored as one of only 38 barangays recognized for their outstanding performance. The council was commended for upholding the principles of transparency, responsiveness, and accountability in budget utilization—hallmarks of a top-performing SK in the province.

In their statement, the SK Poblacion emphasized that they are not just the hope of tomorrow, but the force of today. “Challenges may come, but we face them with collaboration, heart, and purpose. Unity is our power. Collaboration is our strength. Together, we are building a future where no youth is left behind in Barangay Poblacion, Monkayo,” the council declared.

This recognition marks another milestone for the youth leaders of Poblacion, solidifying their role as champions of progress and empowerment for the young people of Monkayo.
