𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗦𝐌𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Six (6) students from the USM Chemistry Society (ChemSoc) participated in the Philippine Association of Chemistry Students in Mindanao (𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐒𝐌𝐢𝐧) 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 2026 held on April 11–12 at Mindanao State University - Main Campus (MSU-Main) in Marawi City, under the theme “SINDAW 2026: Second Prism Harmonizing Mindanao’s Sindaws into One.”

Organized by the MSU-Main Core Team, the two-day convention gathered chemistry student leaders across Mindanao in a celebration of unity, leadership, and academic excellence.

The event featured plenary talks that inspired delegates to grow as future professionals and leaders, followed by engaging activities such as the PACSiyensiya Quiz Bowl and team-building sessions that fostered collaboration and camaraderie among participants.

Their participation highlights the department’s continued commitment to student development through academic exposure, leadership engagement, and inter-institutional collaboration.

𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬.

Looking back at the 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 2026 held last April 11–12, and we're still not over the vibe! Spending those two days at MSU Marawi was such an eye-opening experience.

Beyond the talks and the academic stuff, the best part was definitely the people we met and the late night realizations about our future in Chem. We're coming home with a lot of new friends and a bit more fire to keep going. So grateful for the memories and the literal chemistry we shared!

The MSU-IIT Chemistry Society proudly joined the 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held at Fahm Café under the theme “𝑆𝐼𝑁𝐷𝐴𝑊 2026: 𝑆𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑑 𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑚 𝐻𝑎𝑟𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑜’𝑠 𝑆𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑤𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑂𝑛𝑒.” Organized by the MSU-Main Core Team, the two-day convention brought together student leaders across Mindanao in a meaningful celebration of unity, leadership, and academic excellence.

Day One featured insightful plenary talks that inspired delegates to grow as future professionals and leaders. Day Two continued the excitement with the PACSiyensiya Quiz Bowl and engaging team-building activities that strengthened camaraderie among participants.

From learning to collaboration, SINDAW 2026 truly reflected harmony in diversity and unity in purpose. 💚🧪

The 𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐈𝐈𝐓 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 proudly celebrates its achievement as 2𝑛𝑑 𝑅𝑢𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑟-𝑈𝑝 in the 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐒𝐢𝐲𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 during this year's PACSMIN Convention. Competing against top delegates, the team demonstrated exceptional knowledge, composure, and resilience—pushing through six consecutive tie-breaker rounds before clinching their spot on the podium.
