𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗔-𝗔𝗱𝗨 𝗦𝗼𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵! 𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗢𝗔𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!

The 𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗔-𝗔𝗱𝗨 alongside the other 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗥𝗦𝗢) in 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 showcasing the Community what the organization has to offer for this Academic Year.

𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗔-𝗔𝗱𝗨 proudly joined the 𝗦𝗢𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆, the 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗢𝗔𝗥 that showcases the talent and advocacy of each organization.

The organization showcased an 𝗲𝗰𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘆 to showcase our sustainable fashion through waste materials, after which the candidates 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗰 displayed their wits in a 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹 (𝗦𝗗𝗚) 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗤&𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The members of the organization are overjoyed with all the positive feedback from the applicants and interested students that dropped by to register and play some of the activities that the organization has in store. It is definitely a 𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡-𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆 with each Adamsonian.

As a newly rebranded organization committed to advancing the 𝟭𝟳 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 (𝗦𝗗𝗚𝘀), 𝗛𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗬𝗔-𝗔𝗱𝗨 firmly stands for sustainable and inclusive development that prioritizes the welfare of people, communities, and the environment.

We recognize the importance of innovation and technological advancement; however, progress must not come at the expense of environmental protection, community welfare, livelihoods, and equitable access to essential resources. Development should be pursued responsibly, with meaningful consideration for its long-term social and environmental impacts.

𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟲, 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Large-scale AI Operations through Data Centers require a substantial amount of water, concerns raised in the issue regarding putting additional pressure on local water resources. This causes pollution and endangers our safety. Uplifting public health must always be prioritized.

𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟴, 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵

The Pax SIlica project is promoted as a major industrialization movement and investment opportunities and job creation is a potential benefit, but concerns exist whether the project will be equitable and distributed to all sectors and if existing livelihoods of the farmers will be displaced once the project moves on to the next stages of development.

𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟭𝟬, 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

Displacement of farmers and other communities in the area is one of the major concerns, as said there is no concrete assurance that they are secure of their livelihood. Innovation should not come at a cause wherein human rights are affected and at stake for the cause of development. Development we firmly believe in HIRAYA-AdU is ensuring the safety of our Filipinos and not depriving them of their rights and their health.

𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟭𝟭, 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

The industrial hub is proposed to cover 1,620-hectares of land, this is a massive land conversion project that alters land use and surrounding communities. This wide-scale project and land development are therefore relevant concerns and critical research and transparency needs to be established.

𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟭𝟮, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Pax Silica involves a massive usage of natural materials and resources, The project requires significant minerals and other requirements that do not meet the threshold of responsible consumption. If these Data Centers are truly beneficial to development then why is the project deteriorating vast amounts of resources that the Philippines will suffer in the long run.

Therefore, HIRAYA-AdU stands by its mission in promoting our SDGs and to continue being critical especially in social issues and projects that disrupt the wellbeing of our communities.

We firmly support the idea that our country needs innovative technology to become a progressive state, but also promotes that a safe and progressive country starts by empathy with our communities. Their livelihood and wellbeing will always be more important than AI innovation.
