Strengthening Civic Engagement Through Collaboration 🌟🤝

Yesterday afternoon, at exactly 2:00 PM, our Vice President for Internal Affairs, John Paul A. Dagonio, and Director for Community Action, Joven B. Cortes, represented JCI Masbate Rodeo at the Committee Hearing of the Committee on Education of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Masbate City. The session took place at the SP Session Hall within the Legislative Building.

The hearing focused on the proposed institutionalization of a volunteerism ordinance aimed at enhancing community participation and fostering a culture of service in Masbate City. This initiative highlights the importance of multi-sectoral engagement in building a more coordinated and impactful volunteer program.

JCI Masbate Rodeo remains committed to supporting efforts that promote active citizenship and sustainable community development.

Empowering learners. Strengthening futures. 📚✨

Last Friday, March 27, 2026, JCI Masbate Rodeo successfully extended its support to 30 learner-beneficiaries from Malbug National High School through the distribution of backpacks and essential school supplies under Project BAGS ng PAGASA.

PAGASA, which stands for Promoting Academic Growth and Assisting Students through Aid, is one of the flagship initiatives of JCI Masbate Rodeo aimed at uplifting learners by addressing their basic educational needs and empowering them to succeed.

This meaningful activity also supports the school’s implementation of PRONET (Promoting Remedial Opportunities for Numeracy Enhancement and Transformation)—an innovative program designed to address numeracy challenges among non-numerate Grade 7 learners. Through differentiated instruction, small group learning sessions, and the use of mathematical manipulatives, PRONET provides targeted interventions to bridge learning gaps, especially those intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Anchored on collaboration, the initiative also highlights the vital role of parental engagement and community involvement in building strong support systems for learners.

Together, we continue to create opportunities, restore hope, and pave the way for brighter academic journeys.

JCI Masbate Rodeo Debuts at President Academy 2025! 🌊

From October 13–15, 2025, the breathtaking shores of Misibis Bay Resort, Albay, served as the training ground for the next generation of JCI leaders. For JCI Masbate Rodeo, this was a historic moment—marking our official introduction as a newly chartered Local Organization.

Leading the charge for our chapter was LO President Gregorio Legal, whose participation in the President Academy was vital in aligning our local vision with the national JCI movement. Stepping into this space allowed us to Align our mission with the broader JCI Philippines goals, Forge "brotherhood bonds" with seasoned leaders from across the region and Solidify our seat at the table as we begin our dedicated journey of service.

Beyond the stunning views, the past three days were a whirlwind of intense leadership modules, strategic planning, and collaborative workshops. Under the leadership of President Legal, he is returning to Masbate not just with titles, but with a sharpened toolkit and a deeper understanding of what it means to lead with impact.

Building a legacy starts with showing up and leading with purpose. We’re ready to ride! 🐎✨

On the afternoon of March 21, 2026, JCI Masbate Rodeo conducted its Opportunity to Impact (OTI) at Amancio Aguilar Elementary School — the first step for aspiring members to begin their journey with our organization.

We are happy to have oriented five potential members who showed enthusiasm in learning more about leadership, service, and community impact.
