As part of the international efforts on disaster response, SpaceX has donated 100 Starlink units to the Province of Masbate, a continuing effort to strengthen connectivity and restore communication in the aftermath of Typhoon Opong. This initiative underscores SpaceX’s ongoing support for humanitarian operations worldwide, as its Starlink technology has repeatedly proven vital in disaster-stricken areas in various countries, including the Philippines.

💜 Masbate VAs Need Help 💜

Typhoon Opong has greatly affected our VA community here in Masbate. Many of us have no Wi-Fi, no electricity, and no signal, making it almost impossible to continue working—and some are now at risk of losing clients.

As much as we, the founders of VABayi -The Masbate Women Virtual Assistants, would love to extend support to all our members, we too are heavily affected. Our homes and properties have suffered huge damages, and with only limited generator power, we cannot sustain help for everyone—especially our newbie VAs who need it most.

That’s why we are reaching out to our government offices, fellow VA communities in Bicol, and kind-hearted supporters. Even a simple act such as providing free overnight Wi-Fi access in government offices will go a long way in helping us keep our livelihoods alive.

We may be struggling, but together we can rise again.
Please help us keep Masbate’s VAs connected and working.
