PICPA FAB Hosts Week 6 of the ABM Educators Summit- a project initiated by the PICPA Central Luzon Region fully supported by all 11 chapters of the region.

The PICPA Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) Chapter proudly hosted Week 6 of the Senior High School ABM Educators Summit, a regional initiative of PICPA Central Luzon, held on February 28, 2026 via Zoom. The session, titled “Preparation of Financial Statements for Service Enterprises,” was attended by 326 ABM educators from across the region.

The webinar featured Aerol Bryan M. Daquer, PICPA FAB Vice President for Professional Development, as the resource speaker, who shared practical insights on the preparation and presentation of financial statements for service enterprises. The session aimed to strengthen educators’ capability to effectively teach financial reporting concepts relevant to service-type businesses.

Back to where it all began. 🤍

We visited Polytechnic University of the Philippines Bataan to coordinate with Mr. Salvador Marcos regarding the participation of the PUP Bataan Banda Kawayan troop in the upcoming Central Luzon Regional Council Induction for FY 2026–2027.

Chapter President Mirasol Floren, Junior Regional Director Ferdinand San Diego, and Past President Marites Bartolome—proud graduates of our Sintang Paaralan—came together not only to collaborate for the region, but also to strengthen our partnership with the university.

We discussed the continuous support for Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Freeport Area of Bataan Chapter scholars and aligned on the OJT requirements of the 4th year students to ensure meaningful industry exposure and professional readiness.

More than a coordination meeting, it was a meaningful homecoming—sharing stories, laughter, and memories that shaped who we are today. Always grateful for the foundation built within the halls of our beloved university, and honored to give back in ways that create opportunities for the next generation.

Right after our FAB-IBIG CSR activity, the PICPA FAB Chapter proudly hosted one of the Central Luzon Region’s webinar series entitled Internal Control Considerations and Fraud Detection.

The session was hosted by one of our newest members, Mr. Jhercies Samson, and featured Mr. Marco Fernando L. Ng, a respected expert in fraud and forensic auditing. His insights reached over 440 participants in the virtual meeting room, equipping professionals with practical knowledge grounded in real-world experience.

In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape—where digital transactions, remote operations, and emerging risks are the norm—strong internal controls are no longer optional. They are essential. Understanding fraud risks and strengthening preventive mechanisms help organizations protect assets, uphold integrity, and maintain public trust. As accountants and finance professionals, we are called not only to report numbers but to safeguard them.

Thank you to everyone who participated and continues to support learning initiatives that create real impact. Together, we strengthen our profession and the organizations we serve.

Love was felt beyond flowers and chocolates today. ❤️

On February 14, 2026, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Freeport Area of Bataan Chapter (PICPA FAB) celebrated “FAB-IBIG” by spending the morning with the patients of the Geriatric and Neurological Developmental Unit of Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital.

Led by Chapter President Mirasol Floren, together with Central Luzon Region Junior Regional Director Ferdinand San Diego, Past President Marites M. Bartolome, Secretary Erica Mae Gadiano, and our dear scholars, the team shared songs, dances, heartfelt conversations, and small gifts for the patients to use during their stay at the hospital.

We were also blessed to have Shalee, a talented local singer from Mariveles, who brought music and warmth to both patients and nurses. As she serenaded the room, our scholars handed flowers to the nurses—our everyday heroes who care tirelessly for others. The officers likewise offered a special performance of our chapter theme song, Umagang Kayganda, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Seeing the patients smile, laugh, sing, and dance with us was a beautiful reminder of what Valentine’s Day truly means. Even more touching was witnessing the joy of the nurses as they saw their patients genuinely happy.

In our own simple way, we hope we were able to share light, love, and encouragement.

PICPA FAB remains committed to CSR initiatives that create positive and lasting impact in our community.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone. 💕

A productive courtesy visit with BIR RDO 20 Revenue District Officer, Atty. Mercedes Estalilla, led by Chapter President Mirasol Floren together with Past President Beth Pangilinan.

The discussion centered on a shared mission: helping taxpayers understand and pay the right taxes through stronger collaboration between the Bureau and accounting professionals. When guidance meets cooperation, compliance and public trust grow.

Grateful for the opportunity to support initiatives that empower taxpayers through proper education and awareness.
