In celebration of its 48th Founding Anniversary, the College Department of Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College (OLOPSC) held LakanBINI 2026: Grace Beyond Gender, Excellence Beyond Labels on February 13, 2026, at the DS Hall under the guidance of the overall chairman of the event, Prof. Paul Jason Pante and co-chair, Prof. Reylon Tungol.
The event gathered students, alumni, faculty, and administrators in a pageant that highlighted confidence, advocacy, and self-expression within the LGBTQIA+ community.
The program showcased bona fide Senior High School and College students who represented their respective departments through various segments, including production wear, sportswear, talent performance, and the final question-and-answer portion. The pageant aimed to provide an inclusive platform that promotes respect, acceptance, and holistic development among learners.
Serving as members of the Board of Judges were Vice President for Institutional Affairs and HR Director Ms. Rose Editha Flores, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Angelie Marie Vizconde, Grade School Department Assistant Principal Mr. Rodney Pilares, Guidance Head Ms. Cassandra Kaye Florentino and the Second District Councilor of Marikina city, Hon. Ziffred A. Ancheta.
The panel evaluated the candidates based on stage presence, communication skills, creativity, and overall performance throughout the competition.

In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the activity supported SDG 5: Gender Equality through respect for gender identity and expression, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by fostering acceptance within the school community, SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by encouraging a culture of dignity, understanding, and safe spaces for all learners and SDG 17: Partnership for Goals.
Through LakanBINI 2026, OLOPSC strengthened its advocacy for safe spaces and equal recognition, reminding the academic community that excellence transcends stereotypes and that grace can be expressed in many forms.
