PaJap Marikina is a group of bicycle enthusiasts who love Japanese bicycles. The name is pronounced as "pa-dyap" while the etymology is a combination of the words Padyak and Japan. Meanwhile, Marikina is the word that represents the origin of the cluster of bikers. The main rationale of PaJap Marikina is to promote biking in the city as a healthy lifestyle and Japanese bicycles as an affordable an
d trendy means to love the pedal exercise. Secondly, the group shall be a medium to spread awareness about the biking system and network in the city. It also targets to be the leading proponent and agent of bikers which shall monitor the welfare of the biking community. Beyond biking, the group was featured by SM City Marikina on "Jitensha," a gallery of Japanese bicycles in the city that commemorated Philippine-Japanese Friendship Month. The lovely exhibit was held last July 22-27, 2013 at the Mall Atrium Area. Meanwhile, among the major biking events that the group participated are Padyak Power 2013; 15th Tour of the Fireflies; Run, Bike & Live!; 2nd Marikina Cityhood Fun Ride; and Padjakan sa Marikina Series. We had been supervising biking activities for the group wherein it is open to all the bikers into Japanese Bicycles. This is the endeavor that unites most of the members and to get along with other bikers.
