UPDATE: The viral story of the 7 dogs has now been debunked.

The video of the seven dogs walking together in Jilin is real—but the story that has been about them being stolen, escaping, and journeying 17km home as a loyal pack is not accurate.

According to reports from CNN and Chinese state media, the dogs were not stolen and did not escape from a transport vehicle.

They actually belong to nearby villagers and were simply roaming close to the highway. The rea*on they stayed together wasn’t a dramatic rescue mission—
it’s because one of the dogs, a German Shepherd, was in heat, which naturally attracted the others.

The dogs have since returned home safely.

What this reminds us of:

Even stories that feel real, emotional, and widely shared can still be misinformation.

In today’s social media landscape, viral content can quickly turn into something bigger than the truth—especially when it taps into themes we all want to believe in, like loyalty, friendship, and bravery.

March is Rabies Awareness month

RABIES POSITIVE - Awareness Post 🧠🐾

May patient kami na confirmed Rabies via BAI laboratory testing.

Why it wasn’t suspected immediately:
✔️ Mataba at well-cared
✔️ Indoor dog
✔️ Kumakain pa

Observed signs:
• Nagsusuka
• Biglaang pagbabago ng ugali
• Inaaway ang kasamang a*o
• Kinakagat ang sariling paa
• Nasusuka tuwing nilalagyan ng tubig ang bibig

History:
•Minsan lang nakalabas at nakaaway ang stray dog
•Hindi nabakunahan dahil “indoor lang”

Unfortunately, progression was rapid, at namatay ang patient.

⚠️ Important reminders for pet owners:

•Hindi lahat ng rabies ay aggressive agad
•Hindi lahat may obvious na sugat
•Kahit indoor pets can be exposed
•Rabies is 100% fatal once symptoms appear
•But 100% preventable through vaccination

💉 Vaccinate your pets - indoor or outdoor.

Rabies does not choose. Prevention saves lives.

"May nirescue kasi ako 1 kitten along mayor gil fernando Marikina. Nakita ko yung 2 kapatid nya nasagasaan. Patawid narin yung 1 kaya inuwi ko na lang. I live along a very busy street and malaki space ng ilalim ng gate namin. Makakalabas sya"

The rescuer is willing to extend monetary donation to someone who is willing to adopt this homeless kitten.

👉Local breeds: like puspin and aspin walang pumapansin. Madalas puro "up" ang comment. Walang may gusto sa kanilang mag adopt. Pag may nagtanong, "ano breed/lahi ng a*o/pusa mo? Sagot mo, (WALANG BREED UN) askal/pusakal "lang" un")
Take note: Aspin at Puspin ay uri rin ng breed

👉Pure breed: ang daming willing to adopt, willing to pick-up sa location. Flooded ang messenger namin sa dami ng willing to adopt.
