🌍✨ CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS! ✨🌍
Join us in making a difference through the Mindanao Disaster Relief Program in Alamada, North Cotabato (November 2025 – June 2026). 💚

Volunteering is a beautiful and enriching experience that truly makes a difference - both for you personally and in the communities we work with. You will never be the same after coming to our program because it's rare to see so many motivated, caring and selfless people working hard together for the common goal. This is who we are and we would love to have you with us!

WHY VOLUNTEER?

🌟 Get involved in helping communities recover after a natural disaster. If you have spare time and a willingness to help, you can make a difference in bringing individuals and families return to their homes and classrooms after the disaster.

🙌 Immerse yourself in a multicultural and multigenerational community. Whether you’re in the dorm room or the board room, leadership begins with service. During your time as a volunteer, you will meet volunteers from all over the world with different cultures, ages and backgrounds!

✨ Learn new skills. As a volunteer, you will work alongside your teammates, learning valuable skills, including construction. By the end of your time on program, you’ll be able to return home having learned something new.

🙌 Together, let’s help rebuild communities, support children, and bring hope to families in need. Volunteers will receive:
✅ Free meals & accommodation
✅ Transportation support & daily allowance
✅ Paid vacation after 3 weeks of stay

🙌 Today, we honor Indigenous voices, cultures, and rights.

The International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples reminds us that true peace and justice, SDG 16, can only exist when the rights of all communities are respected and protected.

Indigenous youth are leading movements for climate action, cultural preservation, and social justice: proving that they are not just guardians of the past, but architects of a fairer future for the youth.

Let’s stand with Indigenous peoples everywhere, amplify their voices, and work towards societies where justice, equality, and inclusion are more than just words.

✊🏽 Your voice matters. Share your thoughts, stories, or creative work around SDG 16 and Indigenous rights in DMs, and we may feature it on our platform this month.

It isn’t just about rising temperatures! This month, we’re turning our focus to one of the most urgent challenges of our time: Climate Change!

Climate change is actually about longer droughts, intense wildfires, severe floods, melting polar ice caps, water scarcity, and desertification. It’s about disrupted ecosystems, declining biodiversity, and the widening spread of tropical and vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue.

But even beyond the environment, climate change is a human rights crisis.

It threatens:

🌱 The right to life as extreme weather events become deadlier

💧 The right to water and sanitation with freshwater sources drying up

🏠 The right to housing as floods, rising seas, and disasters displace millions

❤️ The right to health as air pollution rises and heatwaves intensify

🍽️ The right to food as crops fail under extreme conditions

The communities that contribute least to the climate crisis are often the ones most affected, especially youth, women, indigenous groups, and those living in low income or climate-vulnerable regions.

This month at State of Youth, we’ll be exploring how youth around the world are leading climate action by advocating for justice, holding governments accountable, innovating with green solutions, and making everyday lifestyle changes that protect our planet.

🌿 Whether it’s through activism, policy, sustainable habits, or community education: every action counts!

Each year, KidsRights presents the International Children’s Peace Prize to a child who courageously fights for children’s rights. In addition to supporting the winners, KidsRights also supports projects of other young changemakers related to the winner’s theme. In March, KidsRights launched a call for chapters focused on promoting gender equality around the world.

🌍 We’re so excited to announce the Chapters selected for funding through the International Children’s Peace Prize Project Theme Fund. This call for proposals was financially supported by WereldWijd voor Kinderen.

From Bangladesh to Liberia, from refugee camps to classrooms, these youth-led initiatives are breaking barriers, creating awareness, and building a more equal world. Stay tuned!

Today, on World Day Against Child Labour, we raise our voices for millions of children whose dreams are stolen by the weight of work. 💔

At State of Youth, we’re building this platform for youth, by youth to spread awareness, amplify young voices, and break cycles of generational inequality. Every child deserves free, quality education, not tools in their hands before they’ve even had a chance to hold a pencil. 📚

🌍 Under International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions 138 & 182, every child has the right to be protected from economic exploitation, to be free from hazardous work, and to enjoy their right to education, play, and development.

Together, we’re fight for:

✔️ The right to go to school
✔️ The right to rest and leisure
✔️ Protection from harmful work
✔️ A future built on opportunity, not oppression
