The Student League for Academic Advancement and Progress (SLAAP) is a premier organization in MSU. The first semi-academic organization of its kind, SLAAP has led the way for students to experience a unique kind of camaraderie, a special kind of distinction, and a far-reaching influence.

𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐀𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐆𝐍𝐈𝐙𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐆𝐀𝐁𝐈 𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐋𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The Student League for Academic Advancement and Progress proudly celebrates its achievements at the 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: Parangal sa Galing, Pagpupugay sa Pamumuno, organized by the Association of Registered Campus Student Organizations (ARCSO) held on May 30, 2026 at the Social Hall, Capitol, Marawi City. The League successfully secured three of its six nominations, a testament to the dedication, commitment, and collective efforts of the Chaps in advancing academic excellence and meaningful student engagement.

Among the awards received were the 𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗦𝗢 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰) through the University Quiz Show, and the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶-𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰) through the Academic Leadership and Training Program (ALT+P). These recognitions serve as a reflection of the League’s continued pursuit of excellence and its commitment to creating impactful programs for the student community.

Furthermore, the League also takes pride in the individual recognitions received by the Chaps during the event's sash awards. Chap 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗴 was awarded 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗽 (𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲), while Chap 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗞𝗲𝘇𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗼 received the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗽 (𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲) award. Chap 𝗞𝗮𝘆𝘇𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 was recognized as the 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿, while Chap 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗭𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 was named 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 (𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲). These recognitions reflect the confidence, elegance, and outstanding presence of the Chaps throughout the event.

The League extends its sincerest gratitude to every Chap who pioneered, sustained, and supported these initiatives throughout the years. These achievements belong not only to the organization but to every individual who contributed to its success.

The League proudly extends its warmest congratulations to Chap Abdul Yusoph Batao on his election as the new Prime Minister of the MSU-Main Supreme Student Government for Academic Year 2026–2027.

Gathering a decisive 16 votes, Prime Minister Batao’s victory concludes the SSG Parliamentary Election held on May 26, 2026, at the Meranaw Cultural Heritage Center.

The League is beyond proud of your achievement and stands fully committed to supporting you as you lead the MSUan student body toward a proactive and transformative term.

Chap Rarah, as we call her, who also passed the August 2025 Civil Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (Professional Level), has proven her commitment to academic and personal excellence. Her achievements reflect not only her dedication but also her willingness to take on challenges that contribute to her continuous growth and future aspirations.

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

The League is proudly represented by Chaps Jonaidah Abdulrahman, Mohammad Gasanara Jr. Macadato, and Alimar Rasul in the recently concluded MAINSTREAMING BYC-ReAP: Bangsamoro Youth Commission – Registration and Accreditation Program held last April 30 to May 1, 2026.

The discussion of BYC-ReAP includes the registration and accreditation of youth organizations within the BARMM. Giving opportunities to valuable resources and privileges, while ensuring that initiatives align with youth development in the region.

The program delivered insightful lectures and discussions on Leadership, Mentorship & Networking, and Bangsamoro History. This initiative emphasized that understanding one’s roots, along with developing strong character, forms an essential foundation for the youth as they grow into independent individuals and lead their respective organizations.

We extend appreciation to the organizing team and partners whose dedication and hard work made this initiative possible. May the knowledge gained and connections formed continue to inspire and guide the youth as they take on leadership roles in their respective organizations.

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐍’𝐃𝐀𝐖 𝟐.𝟎: 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘

April 26, 2026, marked another meaningful milestone for our Education Outreach Program—Project N’ndaw, held at Pendolonan Elementary School, Brgy. Bubonga-Punod, Marawi City. What started as a simple initiative once again turned into a day filled with shared ideas, curiosity, and real-life learning.

Through sessions on financial literacy and media literacy, participants were given the space to question, understand, and reflect on things that matter in everyday life—from making wiser financial choices to navigating information responsibly. It wasn’t just about teaching concepts, but about helping build awareness and confidence that they can carry with them long after the program.

Seeing the engagement, the questions, and the willingness to learn reminded us why this project continues to grow. Every conversation, every interaction, and every small realization contributed to something bigger than just a one-day event.

To everyone who took part, supported, and made this possible—thank you for being part of Project N’daw’s journey once again.

This may be the second run, but it’s only the beginning of more impact to come.

A leadership platform that brings together student leaders and organizations to learn, connect, and create meaningful impact through engaging discussions, and interactive workshops. Their involvement reflects their dedication to continuous growth and their passion for building impactful initiatives within the community.

May this experience further inspire them to lead with purpose, strengthen connections, and turn ideas into action.
