We remember, we demand justice and accountability!

The Youth for Nationalism and Democracy - Cebu stands in unwavering solidarity with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Marawi, nine years after the devastating Marawi Siege.

Nearly a decade of neglect and multiple displacements is the painful reality left behind by the government’s inefficient, failed rehabilitation program. This tragedy exposes a systemic bias that prioritizes corporate interest and business profits over the lives and rights of ordinary citizens.

Today, we do not just look back at the horrors and victims of war. We rekindle the fierce fire of the struggle for KAMBALINGAN. The Meranaw people belong in their homeland.

Let the Meranaws go home!

Reclaiming Marawi Movement

ALHAMDULILLAH! Sa kabila ng krisis at suliraning kinakaharap nating mga internally displaced persons ng Marawi, nairaos natin ang Walk for Kambalingan, isang mapayapang pagtitipon ngayong May 23, 2026 sa KM 00 sa Marawi City bilang paggunita sa ika-9 na anibersaryo ng Marawi Siege, sa pangunguna ng mga Marawi IDPs, kasama ang mga partner sa civil society at media.

Patuloy tayong nananawagan sa LGU at mga ahensya ng gobyerno para sa:
- pagtigil ng eviction at pagsingil ng renta sa mga IDP
- makatao at sapat na pabahay
- maayos na serbisyo
- mabilis, malinaw at patas na kompensasyon
- makabuluhang partisipasyon ng IDPs sa rehabilitasyon

Sa mga mambabatas, pagtuunan ng pansin ang:
- makatotohanan na review ng nangyari sa Marawi Siege at Rehabilitation
- maglaan ng regular appropriations para sa Marawi compensation at rehabilitation
- isabatas ang national IDP law

Salamat sa lahat ng patuloy na sumusuporta at lumalaban kasama naming mga IDPs para sa KAMBALINGAN - safe, dignified and rights-based return for all!

Kami ang Reclaiming Marawi Movement, isang grassroots na organisasyon na pinamumunuan at binubuo ng mga bakwit mula sa Marawi City. Binuo namin ang RMM noong 2019 upang itaguyod ang aming mga karapatan bilang internally displaced persons (IDP), kababaihan at kabataan, at siguruhing walang maiiwan sa rehabilitasyon ng Marawi.

Kami ay mga kababaihan, mga ina at tagapangalaga ng pamilya na naninirahan sa iba’t ibang shelters dito sa Marawi. Mula noong nangyari ang digmaan noong 2017, ito ang LAHAT ng katotohanan at hamon na araw-araw naming kinakaharap at pasan-pasan sa aming mga balikat hanggang sa ngayon.
