The DigiKlima Culmination Day 2025, with the theme โ๐๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ง๐บ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต๐ฉ ๐๐ฐ๐ช๐ค๐ฆ๐ด ๐ต๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ช๐จ๐ช๐ต๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐บ๐ต๐ฆ๐ญ๐ญ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐๐๐๐,โ was successfully held on September 21, 2025, at the Meranaw Cultural Heritage Center (MCHC).
In collaboration with Save the Children Philippines, the Rawaten Childrenโs Advisory Council, and the Swedish Government, the event showcased the creativity, advocacy, and innovation of BARMM youth in telling powerful digital stories for climate action.
โWe come together to amplify the voices of Moro Youth for climate actionโ said Ms. Shri Tahanie Macaumbao, Project Head of DigiKlima, during her Opening Message. Ms. Shirley, Communications Officer of Save the Children Philippines, further reminded the youth: โYou are not just beneficiaries of change, but shapers of a sustainable future.โ
Adding to the inspiration, Prof. Sorhaila Latiph, PhD, Director of MSU-MCHC, shared her message anchored on the acronym KLIMA โ Kaisa-isa (Unity), Linding (Protection), Iman (Faith), Malaaguna (Greater Purpose), and Adap (Tradition/Attitude) โ with a reminder that: โChange happens. It starts with you. You alone are enough inspiration, just as I am inspired by all of you.โ
Meanwhile, Director Asmarie Macadato Labao reinforced the call for collective action: โClimate action is not only the work of one organization, one office, or one person โ but everyoneโs.โ The highlight of the day was the recognition of outstanding youth climate advocates through special awards and top winners, proving that the voices of the Bangsamoro youth are powerful agents of environmental justice.
Closing the program, Mr. Ammar Cayongcat, Project Coordinator of DigiKlima, emphasized: โDigiKlima is more than just a video competition โ it is a call for action.โ Truly, DigiKlima stands as a testament to the power of unity, advocacy, and digital storytelling in amplifying youth voices for a green
