Leading alongside the Federation is Hon. John Paul Lugmay as Vice President, whose leadership and vision will help strengthen our collective efforts. Supporting the financial stewardship of the organization is Hon. Jamaila Binayao as Treasurer, ensuring transparency and accountability in all our undertakings. Completing the set of key officers is Hon. John Paul Nerosa as Auditor, who will uphold the highest standards of integrity in safeguarding the Federation’s resources.

As we move forward, the SK Federation expresses its full confidence in these young leaders. May their service inspire greater participation, unity, and progress among the youth of Manolo Fortich.

The Refresher Course on Financial Transactions for the Sangguniang Kabataan, held on February 27–28 at Dreams Residence, served as a significant capacity-building activity for SK officials aimed at strengthening their competence in financial governance and accountability. The seminar was facilitated by Nestor Tabaco, CPA, former Municipal Accountant, who shared his expertise and practical insights on financial management, particularly on the proper handling of financial transactions, documentation, and compliance with government regulations.

The training was organized to deepen the knowledge and enhance the practical skills of Sangguniang Kabataan officials in managing public funds responsibly. This initiative is especially timely as the SK Federation of Manolo Fortich continues its progress toward 100% financial independence, with 20 barangays already completing the Financial Independence Requirement. Through this refresher course, SK leaders were equipped with the necessary financial management tools and practical understanding to ensure transparency, efficiency, and accountability in implementing youth programs and projects in their respective barangays.

The activity underscores the commitment of the SK Federation to promote good governance and to empower young leaders with the competence required to responsibly manage public resources for the benefit of the youth and the community.

In compliance with the guidelines set forth under Department of the Interior and Local Government Memorandum Circular No. 061, series of 2024, the SK Federation of Manolo Fortich has undertaken the necessary coordination and consolidation of reports through the SK Web Portal to ensure that the data on youth-related initiatives are accurately documented and properly submitted.

This process aims to strengthen transparency, accountability, and the effective monitoring of youth development programs implemented by the Sangguniang Kabataan. The SK Federation remains committed to supporting the Nation-wide initiative to systematically evaluate the impact of youth programs and ensure that all submitted reports reflect the active participation and contributions of the youth sector.

The SK Federation of Manolo Fortich will continue to coordinate with the concerned offices and stakeholders to guarantee the timely and complete submission of the required Monitoring and Evaluation reports in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

Aligned with one of the priority agendas of Mayor Rogelio N. Quiño, the activity was spearheaded by the Sangguniang Bayan and held on February 9, 2026, at Dahilayan Forest Park, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Through this initiative, the SK Federation reaffirms its dedication to continuous learning, responsible youth leadership, and active participation in advancing good governance within the municipality.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Manolo Fortich successfully held its 5th Regular Session on May 14, 2025. The session was led by SK Federation President Priness CJ B. Padin and attended by 12 SK Chairpersons out of the 22 barangays in the municipality.

The meeting began with a warm welcome to the special guests and resource speakers:

Ma’am Christy Cubero, Head of DILG

Both shared helpful updates and insights, especially about the “Sports for All” program and some DILG-related matters like filling the vacant position for the SK Federation Vice President.

Sir Jay Alquizar gave important reminders about the upcoming Sports for All opening event on May 16, 2025, at the Municipal Gymnasium. He also talked about internal preparations to ensure a smooth and successful opening.

𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 (𝐋𝐍𝐊) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓
Sir Alejandro Arenal presented initial plans for LNK 2025. The SK Federation also shared activity ideas and gave suggestions to make this year’s celebration more exciting and meaningful.

𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰
The proposed annual budget for SK Federation programs was discussed. SK Chairpersons were encouraged to submit their barangay budgets that align with the federation’s goals.

There was also a discussion on the importance of having a separate SK account for each barangay to ensure transparency and proper fund handling.

SK Chairperson Paula Lugmay shared the upcoming Pride Month activities led by the LGBTQIA+ youth group, BUKHAD-Manolo Fortich. These events aim to celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity in the community.

The meeting ended at exactly 4:30 PM with everyone actively participating and sharing valuable insights. It was another productive and collaborative session for the youth leaders of Manolo Fortich.💚💚💚
