Walking Together for Health, Unity, and Purpose.

As part of the 65th Anniversary Celebration of the YMCA of the Philippines in 1976, YMCA leaders, staff, volunteers, and members came together for a "Walk for Fitness", a meaningful activity that promoted healthy living while strengthening fellowship and unity across the movement.

More than just a morning walk, this event reflected the YMCA's long-standing commitment to nurturing the body, mind, and spirit. Nearly five decades later, that same commitment continues to inspire generations to embrace wellness, active living, and service to the community.

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰? 🤔

Calixto Oirola Zaldivar, one of the few Filipinos to have served in all three branches of the Philippine government, also dedicated his leadership to the YMCA of the Philippines as National President from 1969–1971 and 1972–1973.

Beyond his distinguished career as a legislator, Governor of Antique, and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Zaldivar championed youth development and community service through the YMCA. His commitment to ethical leadership and nation-building inspired generations of young people to serve with integrity, faith, and purpose.
