As we officially conclude the 2026 Career Development Program (CDP) at YMCA Baguio following our inspiring closing program held on September 27, 2026, we look back with immense gratitude on weeks filled with intensive learning, meaningful connections, and transformative experiences.

The successful graduation ceremony was graced by members of the National Board, highlighting the strong support of the movement. During the program, Mr. Anthony Jeth R. Del Rosario delivered warm greetings. Following the presentation and awarding of the graduates by OIC-National Program Secretary Ms. Ianne Christine J. Aquino to OIC-National General Secretary Mr. Orlando F. Carreon for formal confirmation, Mr. Carreon delivered an inspiring message to encourage our new graduates. This was followed by a powerful inspirational message from Atty. Zoilo Antonio G. Velez, who discussed the important responsibilities of professional secretaries and noted that these graduates are a valuable investment for the future staff of the movement. He also shared how the YMCA has shaped many leaders in the Philippines over the years, and he strongly emphasized the importance of faith for all staff members.

The 8 dedicated participants also presented a special intermission number before officially closing the program. Over the course of the training held from September 12 to 27, 2026, they journeyed through vital foundational modules, financial management, governance, strategic leadership with Deloitte Australia, and hands-on community immersion. Every session, workshop, and outreach activity was designed to equip our YMCA local professional staff with the tools, knowledge, and servant-hearted mindset needed to drive positive change in their respective local movements.

We extend our deepest thanks to all our incredible facilitators and leaders who poured their time, expertise, and passion into shaping this extraordinary batch of leaders. To our participants: congratulations on completing this rigorous journey! You carry forward the true spirit of the YMCA, ready to build stronger communities and a sustainable, future-ready movement.

Though the celebration has wrapped up, our journey of service and leadership is only just beginning!

As part of their community immersion to help them prepare for their upcoming action plans, the 2026 Career Development Program (CDP) recently conducted a hands-on workcamp. Headed by OIC-National Program Secretary Ms. Ianne Christine J. Aquino and YMCA Baguio General Secretary Rev. Robert B. Sison, together with our 8 CDP participants, the group worked hard at the Loacan Day Care Center in Itogon, Benguet.

During this meaningful outreach, the participants dedicated their time and energy to repainting the day care building to provide a brighter, more pleasant environment for the students. Alongside this community service, they were also introduced to the local gold mining process, giving them a better understanding of the community's primary livelihood and daily life.

This practical experience highlights the true heart of the YMCA movement moving beyond classroom learning to directly help, serve, and support local communities. Through this community engagement, YMCA local professional staff are learning what it means to lead through service, ensuring their future action plans are closely connected to the actual needs of the people they serve!

The 2026 Career Development Program (CDP) continues its comprehensive training sessions at YMCA of the City of Baguio. As we advance into a new phase of the program, we extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated facilitators who have generously shared their expertise over the past few days, providing our 8 participants with a strong foundation in operations, finance, and community building.

Building on this incredible momentum, the sessions now shift focus toward long-term sustainability, adaptability, and high-level governance, expertly guided by Mr. Jacob Meacham and Mr. Rafferty Harker, consultants from Deloitte Australia. We extend our special thanks to the World YMCA for making this collaboration possible and allowing Deloitte Australia to assist YMCA Philippines. Through their facilitation, CDP participants are engaging in a Strategic Planning and Risk Management Workshop and Workforce Management, alongside Skills and Competency Building, which covers critical areas such as Executive Decision Making, Crisis Management and Resilience, as well as Networking and Branding. Furthermore, the discussions broaden to explore Contextual Realities (Issues and Concerns - Vision 2030) and culminate in building a Future-Ready YMCA.

By applying these advanced strategic frameworks, YMCA local professional staff are fully equipped to navigate complex challenges, drive innovative solutions, and ensure their respective movements remain resilient, relevant, and prepared for the future!

The 2026 Career Development Program (CDP) continues its comprehensive training sessions at YMCA Baguio, empowering our 8 participants with the strategies needed to scale their impact.

These discussions centered on sustainability and community building. OIC-National Program Secretary and Program Director Ms. Ianne Christine J. Aquino led an insightful session on Fund Raising and Resource Mobilization, providing the strategic tools necessary to generate essential support and secure long-term resources for community programs. Following this, Mr. Hero O. Go facilitated a highly practical module on Club Management and Membership Expansion, sharing proven approaches to effectively manage YMCA clubs, engage members meaningfully, and broaden the reach of the movement.

By leveraging these key areas of resource generation and membership growth, YMCA local professional staff are fully equipped to build stronger, more sustainable local YMCAs that create lasting community impact!
