The Great Walk Raffle!

To encourage participation in the Great Walk on December 3, 2017, there will be a Great Raffle with Great Prizes!

1. To qualify, kindly ensure that you do the following prior the day –

2. Download the Pacer App via the App Store for iOs devices or Google Play for Android devices. You know you have the correct app when you see this icon

3. Once you’ve installed the Pacer App, join the Rotary Club 3780 group.

4. Two (2) tickets will be given to this who will wear their GREAT WALK SHIRTS.

Prepare your Rotary shirts because only those wearing a Rotary shirt on the day of the Great Walk can claim prizes

Who can join the raffle?

Anyone who participates in the Great Walk, wears a Rotary Shirt, downloads the Pacer App and joins the Rotary Club 3780 group on the app!

This means that you can bring your friends and family and they will be eligible for the raffle but they need to have the Pacer app, join the Rotary Club 3780 group and wear any Rotary shirt during the walk!

How will winners be determined?

RC Loyola Heights will create raffle entries based on the names that appear on the 3780 group of the Pacer App

Winners will be announced on the day of the Great Walk but prizes can only be claimed if the winner presents his/her smart phone with the Pacer App and if he/she is wearing a Rotary shirt. Prizes will be given only to those who are physically present at the time of the announcement of the winners. Should they not be present, other names will be drawn.

Great Walk for a Carless Day
Holy Spirit Drive, Quezon City

The Great Walk on this day was held at the Holy Spirit Drive to support our Service Project Chairman, Cong Winnie Castelo's advocacy for a carless Sunday and to make the streets for people not cars on this day. Cong Winnie said that similar event is being done in other places like Ginza, Shanghai, Bogota and Times Square. It is the first in Quezon City.

The event was culminated with zumba, art exhibit, bazaar fun walk, run, cycling, al fresco dining and other family oriented activities.

RC Midtown Cubao hosted the great walk that was supported by other D3780 Clubs/Great Walk Enthusiasts.

It was indeed another great walk for a great cause.

Great Walk to promote Carless Sunday
Holy Spirit Drive, Quezon City

Today's Great Walk was held at Holy Spirit Drive instead of our usual walking venue in UP, in support of an advocacy for a carless day on Sundays, by Cong Winnie Castelo, RID3780 Chairman for Service Project Committee.

The main street of Don Antonio Avenue/Holy Spirit Drive was closed to traffic to give way to various activities like fun walk, run, cycling, zumba, bazaars, art activities, al fresco dining dubbed as "Balik Kalye: Streets are for People, Not Cars"

Cong Winnie Castelo said that similar activities are also being done in other places like Ginza, Shanghai, Bogota and Times Square.

Our Great Walk Host, the Rotary Club of Midtown Cubao spearheaded by Great President Dennis Caguinguin had joined the Great Walk, zumba along with our Great Walk supporters and health enthusiast from the different RI3780 Clubs.

It was another Great Walk for a great cause indeed!

Thanking Rotary Clubs of St Ignatius, Centennial, Kagitingang Cubao for the co-hosting of Sept 10 Great Walk. The Muay Thai session was fun and interesting! Thanks TGP Mercy Plata for bringing them in and likewise for inviting DZRH for the coverage. Let me know when you will be posting this. Great thanks to all!
