HSS Philippines was honored to join this year's Jagannath Rath Yatra, hosted by the Hindu Temple in Paco. Together with fellow Hindu organizations in Manila, we were privileged to participate in an inspiring expression of devotion, unity, and seva in the service of Jagannath.

A huge shoutout to our HSS pariwar - especially our Gen Z Swayamsevaks - all of them medical students from different colleges.
They proactively managed the traffic, made sure everyone stayed hydrated, and stepped in wherever they were needed. We hardly had to give any instructions. They simply saw what needed to be done and did it.

This is our Gen Z. You see... character is built long before it is tested.

You can be pretty sure that wherever these young men and women may be in the future, they will step forward and stand tall, showing the way whenever action and service are needed - even when others step back.

(We came home with blisters on our feet from walking barefoot on the hot roads. We didnt feel them though. Such was the energy and spirit of the day.)

Yesterday, our Yuva Swayamsevaks had the opportunity to host Maananeeya Radhakrishnan ji during his visit to Manila. What was planned as a simple gathering turned into an evening filled with laughter, conversations, camaraderie, and the warmth that only a Sangh pariwar can create.
The young men made all the arrangements themselves - from food to hospitality - and hosted him with tremendous affection.

The highlight of the day, however, came as we were leaving. Someone suggested sending some fresh fruit back for the Manila Swayamsevaks and their families.- Duhat and Mango - perfectly ripe and ready ON the trees.

Our Yuva Swayamsevaks promptly climbed the trees to pick it.

The married Swayamsevaks, meanwhile, provided expert supervision and moral support from the ground, .... and reflected on how much life has changed. :)

This is Gen Z. THIS is HSS.
At the recent Geeta Panchamrit program organized by Chinmaya Mission in Manila, eleven sacred altars were set up around the stage for the collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa.

Every one of the eleven altars was managed by our Swayamsevaks, many of them in their twenties. They were supported by many more volunteers from HSS who came forward to serve. Together, they carried out their responsibilities with remarkable discipline and humility throughout the event - what made us really proud was the Tejas radiating from their young faces.

This is the vision that inspires the work of HSS: nurturing individuals of character, discipline, service, and cultural confidence who contribute positively to society and remain firmly rooted in our timeless Sanatani values.

We offer our heartfelt gratitude to Chinmaya Mission Philippines for creating this opportunity for our youth to serve.

To all the young Swayamsevaks who participated AND volunteered for Chinmaya, a BIG Thank you.
Your conduct, dedication, and vitality made our entire HSS family proud.

The future is bright not because we 'hope' it will be, but because we can already 'SEE' it in you ..... our young ones.

Tribute to the Visionary Founder: Param Pujyaneeya Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar Ji

Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the visionary founder of the RSS and a Yugadrashta (one who envisions an era), was born on the auspicious day of Ugadi. As the RSS enters its centenary year, this birth anniversary holds profound significance.

He realized early on that merely gaining independence would not be enough; the nation had to be protected from falling back into the hands of foreign or detrimental forces. Aspiring for the Param Vaibhav of Bharat, he dedicated his life to the unification of national strength.

With a core focus on Vyakti Nirmana established the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

What began as a small seed in his hands has grown exponentially—as the saying goes, *"Inthinthai Vatudinthai"*—and is now celebrating its 100th year.

From its humble beginnings in Nagpur, the organization has flourished:
* Today, there is no village in this country without the presence of the RSS.
* There is no street in India without a Swayamsevak.

Today , we have more than one reason to celebrate the dawning of the new Hindu year.

On the occasion of his birth anniversary, we offer our humble and respectful tributes.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shri T.K. Ramesh (Known to most as, Anna) on 28 October 2025 in Bhagyanagar, Bharat.

To the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Parivar here in the Philippines , he was our Sutradhari — a guiding force whose energy could move mountains and whose will was forged in iron. He founded Utsav Samanvay Samiti and OfBJP Philippines, served on the Indian Cultural Association (ICAP) was a successful COO of Brady Pharma and owner of Annapoorna Restaurants.

He was larger than life itself - a rare blend of strength, compassion, and humility. His legacy is extraordinary - the people he uplifted, the initiatives he nurtured, the communities he brought together and the joy he spread are beyond the measure of any one lifetime. He gave more than he ever took, accomplished more than most could even dream, and touched more hearts than we can count.
In that way, he truly outlived us all.

From his HSS Philippines Parivar, we offer our humble tribute to this extraordinary soul —
He was one of us .. many would also say the same, because that’s who he was.
He belonged to everyone.

HSS Philippines participated in the Viksit Bharat Run 2025, hosted by the Indian Embassy in Manila today at Ayala Triangle, Makati, as part of the Seva Pakhwada (Seva Parv) celebrations.

Our motto of Sewa, Sanskar, Sanghatan perfectly aligned with the spirit of this remarkable event — even more so as it coincides with the auspicious days of Ma Durga Puja / Vijaya Dashami 🙏

We are proud to have been part of this event for our Matrubhumi. We have taken the pledge for Viksit Bharat by 2047 along with a great many of our countrymen and women here in the Philippines.

Together, as one community, we stand together and honour the legacy of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and his vision for a Viksit Bharat by 2047

Our sincere thanks to everyone who made it to the HSS Sammelan despite the heavy downpour , Ganapathi poojas at home and the evening traffic. Your presence was more than just attendance — it meant solidarity and a shared sense of purpose.

The session was filled with thoughtful exchanges, warmth, and a strong sense of cohesion in the collective.

Guests from Chinmaya Mission added the depth of spirituality in unison with us echoing the very spirit of Rigveda’s last word on how a Samaj should be … ‘Sangachhadhwam Samwadadhwam’ - the timeless call to walk together, think together, and act in collective harmony.

The Sammelan was an expression of Hindu unity and cultural renaissance. Rooted in the consciousness of Dharma , guided by the collective spirit and strengthened by shared intentions.

Shri Saumitra Gokhale , our HSS Global Coordinator , was invited for breakfast with the Hon. Indian Ambassador to the Philippines, Shri Harsh Kumar Jain Ji, this morning.

Our sincere thanks to the Honorable Ambassador - not just for the warm hospitality, breakfast and chai in the most cordial spirit , but also for the engaging conversation that followed. It was a long, insightful exchange on diverse subjects.
