Ang pangalawang batch ng Libreng Breast at Cervical Cancer Screening ay ginanap noong ika-11 ng Abril sa Barangay Karuhatan, Valenzuela City.

Muli, sa aming mga volunteers, nag-alay ng oras at kaalaman🤝🫂;
Sa aming mga katuwang sa I-WE at Philippine Cancer Society (PCS), na gumanap bilang haligi ng programang ito👩‍⚕️🩺;
Sa aming host community at kay Kapitan Martell Soledad ng Barangay Karuhatan para sa kanyang walang sawang suporta❤️;

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved VHO Scholar, Hazel Mhay Santos. She had been with us since the very beginning, as one of our first scholars.

Hazel was in her last year of college, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. When asked about her aspirations, she shared: “Honestly, as of now, I don’t know because sometimes I just want to feel free. I want to travel, to relax, but I need to do something to reach my dreams of traveling to different countries. In the future, I aspire to be someone who can help improve public services and promote good governance to make a positive difference in people’s lives.”

In reflecting about her goal in wanting to make a positive impact in people’s lives, when asked what she would do in life if money was not an issue, she answered: “I want to help others and provide for my family, ensuring their happiness. I dream of taking them to different countries and buying my mother a house. This fulfills a promise I made to myself after college. I know my father would be proud, watching from heaven. I also aspire to build a perfume factory driven by my passion, while supporting children’s charities.”

As we grieve her untimely passing, we also honor the many lives she touched as a friend, sister, and daughter. She will surely be missed and always remembered.

May her soul rest in peace.
