UMSS STATEMENT ON THE RECENT MINDANAO BOMBING December 3, 2023

We strongly condemn the heinous incident that occurred at the Mindanao State University (MSU) Gym on Sunday morning, December 3. where at least four innocent people died and ten were hurt due to an explosion,Such acts of violence not only pose a grave threat to the lives of innocent individuals but also undermine the principles of peace, harmony, and education that institutions like MSU strive to uphold.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, and we extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this senseless act. and hope for a speedy recovery for those hurt and injured.

We call on the Government Authorities to swiftly investigate the incident and to ensure the safety of our people. Such senseless and cowardly acts of violence have no place in any society and must be met with the full force of the Law

However, we also need to be careful and vigilant so that we can prevent further another attacks on civilians.
