Noong, Agosto 3, 2026, opisyal nang binuksan ang Kagawaran ng Filipino sa temang _"Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon"_. Pinatunayan dito na nananatiling mahalaga ang Wikang Filipino kahit sa panahon ng AI. Nakilahok ang mga mag-aaral mula Grade 7 hanggang Grade 10 sa parada at pagsusuot ng tradisyonal na kasuotan. Inanunsyo rin ang mga patimpalak ng Kagawaran na pinamunuan ng mga g**o. Nawa'y maging simula ito ng mas malalim na pagkatuto at pagpapahalaga sa wika.
