According to the Republic Act 8491, “The Flag Law”, 1998
The flag shall be displayed in all public buildings, official residences, public plazas, and institutions of learning every day throughout the year. However, as per the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), there are still 100,000 public elementary schools in need of flags.
We believe the youth will define the future of our country (ika nga ni Rizal: ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan), and we want to instill the foundation of love of country and spirits of nationalism wherever possible.
Because of this, Ayala Foundation, together with government institutions NHCP and the Department of Education, and partners such as Ayala, Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc., Entrego and Chooks-to-Go join together for the #MagingMagiting flag campaign.
