TOGAther, We Stand VISION: To achieve a 100% graduation rate Adopt-a-Graduate: TOGAther, We Stand is a Bayanihan Project under JCI Mandaue.

At the helm of this transformative initiative is Brylle Dwight Ag-ag, the visionary Director for Auditor, supported by a dynamic duo of co-chairs Christian Bacolod and Christian Castillanes. Together, they shared the common goal of uniting people aiming for one goal: Toga for all, celebrating every graduate through bridging the gap caused by educational challenges.

There’s a TikTok video of a teacher breaking down in tears after finding out that her student—who had been frequently absent from class—was actually selling fish at the market just to make a living.

This situation is far more common than many people realize. Some children want so badly to attend school, but they’re forced to miss classes because helping their families survive comes first. Education becomes a privilege they have to pause, not because they don’t care, but because they simply have no choice.

While some waste their opportunity to learn by skipping class or not taking school seriously, others are fighting just to stay enrolled. It’s a quiet reminder to value education, show compassion, and remember that not everyone starts life with the same chances.
