🚨 2026 is not the year of AI hype. It’s the year AI actually goes to work.

For the past few years, we’ve all been experimenting…

Prompting. Testing. Playing with tools.

But according to this article from TechRadar, something has shifted:

👉 AI is no longer just assisting.
👉 AI is now executing.

Think about it.

Instead of:
• Writing drafts
• Giving suggestions
• Waiting for instructions

AI is now:
• Managing workflows
• Following up leads automatically
• Generating quotes and invoices
• Coordinating operations behind the scenes

It’s no longer a tool.

It’s becoming a digital operator inside your business.

đź’ˇ The real shift?

From SaaS tools → AI Operating Systems

From:
“Here’s software, go use it.”

To:
“Here’s AI, it will run parts of your business with you.”

This is exactly where things are heading.

And honestly…

If your business is still using AI just for content or chat,
you’re still in 2023 mode.

⚡ The winners in 2026 will be those who:

• Integrate AI into their daily operations
• Automate decision-making, not just tasks
• Build systems where AI works proactively, not reactively

We’re entering the era of:

👉 Agentic AI
👉 Autonomous workflows
👉 AI as your digital COO

This is not theory anymore.

It’s already happening.

And the question is simple:

Are you still using AI…
or is AI already working for you?

There's something about makeshift posting spots that capture the real heartbeat of a place. Not the polished billboards or digital ads, but the hand-printed flyers, the overlapping announcements, the way dreams and opportunities layer on top of each other until it transcends into abstraction as possibilities. 🚀

Walking around the city lately, we keep seeing these names. Some hiring. Some looking for space. Some offering solutions still gaining traction. All of them part of this story that started with a few tech enthusiasts meeting after work, that grew into weekend competitions and those gatherings where innovation meets island breeze and where the most serious conversations about the future happen with sand between your toes.

These are not just company names on flyers anymore. They are proof that when communities build together—slowly, consistently, organically—remarkable things happen. Proof that the best innovation doesn't come from corporate boardrooms, but from people who care enough to solve real, local problems. And somehow, we have this feeling they're all being drawn to the same shoreline soon. 🤔

The board is getting crowded. The tide is calling. Something beautiful this way comes. 🤩

STARTUPISLAND.PH, where DTI Region 7 Central Visayas, The Company CEBU, and Fiestartup have been quietly nurturing this next generation of builders, knows exactly where all these currents are flowing. 🏝️

STARTUPISLAND.PH Puts the Spotlight on Investment Readiness

Startups in Central Visayas know how to build. The next challenge is learning how to turn what they’ve built into investable ventures.

On August 15, The Company CEBU hosted the STARTUPISLAND.PH Masterclass on Startup Valuation and Investment Readiness, where founders confronted the realities of turning prototypes into fundable businesses.

Organized by DTI Region 7 Central Visayas, the session drew on the expertise of Carlo Chen-Delantar of Gobi Partners and Ryan Tambis of R Tambis Ventures, who guided participants through the mechanics—and the mindset—of investment. The discussion moved beyond spreadsheets into the strategic art of financial storytelling, across defining KPIs that matter, tying valuations to milestones, crafting fundraising campaigns, and keeping composure under the pressure of investor Q&As.

For many Central Visayas founders, this is the critical gap. The region already produces ingenuity in abundance as startups design, code, and solve real problems with skill. Yet in the global marketplace, technical brilliance alone rarely secures capital. What does is the ability to frame growth in a language investors trust. That is precisely where SIPH steps in.

The masterclass forms part of a larger ambition: to evolve Cebu’s startup and innovation ecosystems from promising to truly investor-ready. It signals a region no longer defined solely by outsourcing or tourism, but one intent on cultivating ventures that can compete—and win—on bigger stages.

By embedding valuation into the startup conversation, DTI Region 7 is going beyond teaching founders how to just pitch. It is equipping them to translate innovation into capital, and capital into scale. For a region on the rise, that may be the difference between being seen as an emerging hub and becoming recognized as a force in the Philippine startup scene.

Leasing a small Makati office means paying deposits, advance rent, fit-out, furniture, internet, utilities, and staff salaries. You’re looking at over ₱200,000 before you even start operating—and around ₱60,000/month just to keep the lights on.
