Meet Edwin Ao, a Cebu-based fashion designer and textile artist known for blending Filipino heritage with contemporary design. A Fine Arts graduate of the University of San Carlos, Ao first gained recognition representing Cebu in the Mega Young Designers’ Competition and later represented the Philippines at the 18th Concourse International des Jeunes Créateurs de Mode in Paris. In 2000, he launched Guerilla, a women’s wear label inspired by military and utility wear.
Over the years, Ao has represented the Philippines in major international fashion platforms across Singapore, Tokyo, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and China. His work is especially recognized through the Guerilla Barong, where he reimagines the traditional Barong Tagalog through textile innovation and contemporary aesthetics.

An active member of the Fashion and Design Council of the Philippines, Ao continues to champion Filipino creativity on the global stage.

For Mugnang Kinamot, he will lead a cyanotype printing workshop on the pañuelo, exploring how traditional textile elements can be reinterpreted for both contemporary and traditional wear through heritage craft and textile experimentation.

Meet Victoria Tanquerido, a Cebu-based visual artist and metalworker redefining tradition through repoussé ✨

From the rhythmic force of pukpuk to intricately crafted relief sculptures, her work transforms metal into living narratives: stories of faith, culture, and identity shaped by hand and intention.

Her practice, grounded in artisanal labor, moves beyond mere construction. In her solo exhibition “Dukdok,” she reframes making as a deeply human act, patient, physical, and profound. From exhibiting in Tubo Art Fair and Cebu Art Book Fair to collaborating on the Kabilin Center, her journey continues to bridge heritage and contemporary expression.

Carefully curated by the PIID Cebu Chapter, in collaboration with PIID National, this marks its first CPD event of the year, held in celebration of Heritage Month and World Interiors Month.

On Day 2, PIID Cebu invites you to explore Spanish-era history through coral-stone churches, ancestral homes, and ancient watchtowers, celebrating Cebu’s rich cultural legacy and the enduring spirit of its people.

This immersive experience serves as the culminating day of the two-day Subay sa Panulondon heritage immersion tour, offering a deep exploration of Cebu’s southern heritage corridor. A Full-Day Journey through Built Heritage, Heritage Cuisine, and Coastal Traditions. Habagatang Kabilin sa Sugbo, which translates to "Southern Heritage of Cebu" is a full-day heritage excursion that takes participants on a journey through the historic municipalities of Carcar, Argao, Dalaguete, Boljoon and Oslob.

This full-day heritage tour will brings us closer to the stories etched in stone, the flavors passed through generations, and the living traditions that shape Cebu’s cultural landscape. Together, these elements provide a comprehensive understanding of how spatial narratives, cultural identity, and handmade traditions converge in the southern landscapes of Cebu.

More than a tour, it’s a shared experience of discovery, reflection, and connection—where heritage becomes a lens for design, identity, and community.

As we wrap up the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026, we’re proud to share that had the honor of designing and setting up the VIP Lounges at — welcoming leaders, ministers, and delegates through spaces that reflect the warmth, creativity, and craftsmanship of Cebuano design.

This milestone was made possible through our collaboration with the Department of Tourism - Philippines, TIEZA - Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority, , together with our valued partners , Asian Carpet, and .

This was a true celebration of Filipino interiors on the global stage — where local talent met international attention.
