Join us as we turn vision into action—bringing color, life, and sustainability to our campus through EcoPride. From a thriving herb garden to a recycled mini park, we’re transforming everyday spaces into symbols of care, creativity, and community.

In partnership with Nursing Society - José Rizal University, this initiative goes beyond planting. It is about nurturing responsibility, inspiring action, and growing a movement rooted in purpose.💚

Guided by the goals of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11, 12, 13, 15, and 17, EcoPride is our way of showing that meaningful change can start right where we stand.🌍

These goals highlight the importance of building greener and more inclusive spaces (SDG 11), practicing mindful use of resources through recycling and upcycling (SDG 12), taking action against environmental challenges (SDG 13), and protecting plant life and biodiversity (SDG 15). At the same time, SDG 17 emphasizes the power of collaboration: bringing together student organizations to create meaningful and lasting impact.

The "EMERGED!: Youth Forum on Rights-Based Democratic Governance" brought together young leaders from various communities in a one-day learning and capacity-building event designed to deepen youth participation in democratic processes. Organized by DAKILA – Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), and the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA), the forum aimed to strengthen the understanding of democratic principles through a rights-based lens—highlighting accountability, participation, equity, and the protection of human dignity as non-negotiable pillars of governance.

A key component of the forum was the Kilos Bayan Storytelling Workshop, one of the workshops experienced by the ALUNSINA and JRU La Dama Filipina - The Doña Carmen Women's Circle members, a dynamic session crafted to equip young participants with skills to translate lived experiences into compelling narratives for advocacy. Grounded in the belief that storytelling is a powerful driver of social change, the workshop emphasized how stories shape collective memory, influence public discourse, and foster empathy, especially within conversations on human rights and democratic engagement.

"EMERGED!" contributes to a growing movement that recognizes young people not merely as beneficiaries of democracy, but as active shapers of it. By equipping the youth with storytelling tools rooted in rights-based frameworks, the forum reinforced the message that governance is not limited to institutions: it lives in the stories communities tell, the truths they uphold, and the collective actions they take. Through the efforts of DAKILA, PETA, and PAHRA, the forum stands as a testament to the transformative potential of empowering youth voices in the pursuit of a more just, inclusive, and participatory society.

Mandaluyong City, Philippines — In a gathering that brings together the country’s most passionate young changemakers, this year’s MADTalks became a vibrant stage where stories of purpose, advocacy, and community empowerment converged. Among the attendees was ALUNSINA, whose presence reflected its commitment to elevating youth voices and driving meaningful narratives.

MADTalks, an annual flagship event of I am MAD - Making A Difference Volunteers organization, serves as a platform for inspiring journeys, community-centere d initiatives, and conversations that highlight how ordinary individuals can spark extraordinary impact.

In this year's theme, “Puhon” embodies more than hope. It reflects a purposeful belief in the unfolding of meaningful work, shared stories, and community transformation. Rooted in the Visayan expression that conveys “in God’s perfect time,” Puhon resonates deeply with I am M.A.D.’s mission of nurturing narratives that inspire connection, healing, and empowerment. It serves as a reminder that every advocacy, collaboration, and creative endeavor is part of a larger journey guided by faith, intention, and the collective commitment to uplift communities. In embracing Puhon, the event and organization affirms its dedication to service grounded in patience, trust, and the hope that each story they tell becomes a catalyst for change: now and in the greater timing meant for it.

ALUNSINA reaffirmed its dedication to storytelling as a catalyst for empowerment. The event became a reminder that narratives—whether spoken, written, or performed—hold the power to heal, connect, and ignite change. It will continue to affirm it's commitment to creating platforms where stories can inspire, mobilize, and contribute to community growth.
