𝑨𝑳𝑼𝑵𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑨 𝑱𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝑻𝑬𝑫𝒙𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒍𝒂 2026 𝒂𝒔 𝑽𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒔

𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 2, 2026 | 𝑨𝒅𝒂𝒎𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝑬𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒂, 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒍𝒂

Stories have the power to connect people, inspire empathy, and spark meaningful action. Guided by this belief, ALUNSINA (Alab ng Laya at Ugnayang Nagpupugay sa Sarili, Indibidwal, at Natatanging Anyo) proudly served as volunteers during TEDxManila 2026: “Tagpi-Tagpi” at Adamson University.

With the theme “Tagpi-Tagpi,” TEDxManila 2026 gathered changemakers, creatives, advocates, professionals, and young leaders to celebrate how diverse stories and experiences come together to create lasting impact. As volunteers, ALUNSINA members supported the event behind the scenes while witnessing the transformative power of ideas worth spreading.

The event featured inspiring talks from notable speakers, including Chef Francis Lacson, Architect Regina Morales, JP Habac, Bea Millan-Windorski, Justine Renee Garcia, Joy Barcoma, Miguel Ordoño III, and a special musical performance by Jan Roberts. Together, their stories explored Filipino identity, sustainability, heritage, storytelling, advocacy, leadership, and the importance of using one’s voice to create positive change.

For ALUNSINA, volunteering at TEDxManila was more than an opportunity to help organize a nationally recognized event—it was an extension of the organization’s commitment to promoting empathy, inclusion, and community through storytelling. The experience reaffirmed ALUNSINA’s mission of creating spaces where diverse voices are heard, valued, and empowered.

As the event came to a close, one message remained clear: every story has the power to inspire change. When these stories come together—tagpi-tagpi—they create a stronger, more compassionate, and more connected community.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | 🏳️‍🌈✨ 𝗛𝘂𝗲𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺

Last April 11, 2026, ALUNSINA opened its doors to conversations that mattered through HueStory: Stories Across the Color Spectrum, a forum dedicated to amplifying the diverse voices and lived experiences within the SOGIESC spectrum. Held at GCL-4, José Rizal University, the event became more than just a gathering: it became a safe and empowering space where stories were heard, identities were celebrated, and understanding was nurtured.

Through heartfelt testimonies, meaningful discussions, and open dialogue, participants were given the opportunity to listen beyond assumptions and connect through shared humanity. HueStory highlighted the power of storytelling as a tool for education, empathy, and social change, reminding everyone that every individual's experience carries a lesson worth learning from.

Anchored on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 5, 10, and 16, the forum underscored the importance of promoting well-being through supportive environments, ensuring access to inclusive education, advancing gender equality, reducing inequalities, and fostering communities grounded in peace, respect, and justice. By creating a platform that encouraged honest conversations, the initiative reinforced the idea that allyship begins with listening and understanding.

More importantly, HueStory challenged participants to move beyond passive acceptance toward active inclusion. It called on members of the community to become advocates who uplift marginalized voices, challenge discrimination, and contribute to building spaces where everyone can live authentically and safely.

As we look back on this meaningful initiative, may the stories shared continue to inspire compassion, courage, and collective action. For in every hue lies a story, and in every story lies the power to transform hearts, bridge differences, and create a community where everyone truly belongs.

Because celebrating diversity is not only about recognizing our differences, but also about honoring the beauty of each person's journey and standing together in solidarity, one story at a time.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | 🌈🌿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀

Last April 10, 2026, the JRU community witnessed how simple acts of service can blossom into meaningful change through the EcoPride Project. Held at the JRU Tower Building Basement beside the Central Student Council Office, the initiative transformed ordinary spaces into vibrant symbols of sustainability, collaboration, and hope.

In partnership with the Nursing Society - José Rizal University, EcoPride went beyond creating a thriving herb garden and a recycled mini park. It became a platform for students to demonstrate environmental stewardship and collective responsibility, proving that lasting impact begins with intentional action and a shared vision for a greener future.

Anchored on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 11, 12, 13, 15, and 17, the project highlighted the importance of building sustainable communities, promoting responsible consumption, taking climate action, protecting biodiversity, and fostering partnerships that empower change. Through each recycled material repurposed and every seed planted, participants embodied the belief that caring for the environment is a responsibility that belongs to everyone.

More than the physical transformation of spaces, EcoPride cultivated a deeper appreciation for community involvement and environmental consciousness among the students who took part in the initiative. It served as a reminder that meaningful change does not always begin with grand gestures—it often starts with individuals choosing to care, collaborate, and take action within the communities they call home.

As we look back on this initiative, may the seeds planted during EcoPride continue to inspire us to become advocates for sustainability in our own ways. After all, when people come together with purpose and compassion, they do not only grow gardens: they grow a future rooted in hope, inclusivity, and lasting change.

⚜️ 𝐋𝐔𝐙𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓 | 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗗𝗚𝘀 - 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 (𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗔) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

For many moments and experiences, we have believed that leadership is not measured by titles, but by the lives we touch, the communities we serve, and the voices we empower.

Today, our hearts are full as Alunsina is recognized as a 𝐋𝐔𝐙𝐎𝐍 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓 for the 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗗𝗚𝘀 - 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 (𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗔) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. More than an achievement, this is a reminder that kindness matters, that communities flourish when people choose one another, and that meaningful change always begins with compassion. This recognition belongs to every volunteer, partner, community member, and advocate who has journeyed with us in creating meaningful and people-centered change.

No matter where this journey takes us, we will continue to choose people: to listen deeply, serve wholeheartedly, and create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered.

Because at the end of the day, the greatest award has always been the lives we get to touch.
