CIARA MARIE ABALOS FOUNDATION PROFILE
Established in 2005, the Ciara Marie Foundation, Inc. was inspired to serve the most vulnerable children in the aspect of health and education. A healthy mind begins with a healthy body, the foundation likewise aims to provide the much-needed assistance for the required medical intervention required of the condition of the child/ren. Seeing the importance of
education, the foundation aims to provide the means for economically challenged children to achieve the realization of their dreams to be educated through the establishment of schools and scholarship grants. CIARA MARIE ABALOS PROFILE
Born after a few minutes earlier than her twin sister, Ciara is the eldest in a brood of five in the Abalos Family. Attentive and always cheerful, Ciara had a very colorful childhood. She was a source of pride and joy for her family. It is no wonder why she had a lot of friends at Saint Pedro Poveda Learning Center where she finished her elementary and secondary education. She had a short stint in college at the Dela Salle University where she took her unfinished course in B.S. Public service runs in the blood indeed as Ciara also dreamt of serving the less fortunate offering whatever she can do to help people in her own little ways. She made her first exposure to public service in local barangays, joining her father during community projects and outreach programs. First of these was her participation in a community project in Gibson Street, Barangay Highway Hills and in Barangay San Jose where she also taught catechism among poor children. These onsite exposures had led her to aspire to become a public lawyer someday and render her services “pro bono” as she used to say. Strongly believing that life begins and ends with a purpose, she transacted and signed for a million worth of life insurance without the knowledge of her parents, with her twin sister as the main beneficiary. Her humanitarian works, little as they may seem, had touched the lives of those who knew her not because of the name she carried but mainly because of her willingness to help without any tinge of hesitation.
