Today, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, we gathered at the 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿’𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁—a meaningful celebration that marked the beginning of another academic year with hearts rooted in faith and hope.

As one community, we were reminded to entrust every step of our journey to God and to welcome the guidance of the Holy Spirit in every decision, challenge, and opportunity that lies ahead. Through prayer and reflection, we were renewed in our commitment to live with purpose, serve with humility, and become instruments of God’s love in our schools, communities, and daily lives.

FEBRUARY 18, 2026 – Today marks the beginning of the Lenten season. ✝️

As we embrace the solemnity of this Ash Wednesday Mass, we are reminded of the profound meaning behind the ashes — a symbol of our mortality and a call to repentance. Draped in reflection and humility, this sacred gathering invites the Rizalian community to come together in prayer, self-examination, and spiritual renewal.

Within the serene ambiance of the JRU Quadrangle, the ashes placed gently upon our foreheads serve as a visible reminder of our shared humanity — urging us to seek forgiveness, grow in faith, and walk the path of grace.

May this season of Lent lead us toward deeper reflection, purposeful living, and compassionate hearts as we journey together toward Easter.

FEBRUARY 09, 2026 — With grateful hearts, the JRU community gathered as we officially opened University Week, marking the 107th founding year of Jose Rizal University, a celebration made even more meaningful as it coincides with Mandaluyong Liberation Day.

In the spirit of thanksgiving, freedom, and remembrance, we honor not only the legacy of our founders but also the courage and resilience that shaped our city and our nation. Amid prayers, reflection, and unity, we are reminded that education and liberation go hand in hand—both empowering generations to rise, lead, and serve.

As we begin this week of celebration, we carry forward a legacy rooted in faith, excellence, and patriotism—united as one Rizalian community, committed to shaping a future worthy of our past.
