Dahil sa malawakang pinsala at epekto ng tuloy-tuloy na pag-ulan dulot ng mga nagdaang bagyo at Southwest Monsoon o Habagat, isinailalim ang Lalawigan ng Bulacan sa State of Calamity sa bisa ng Panlalawigang Kapasyahan Blg. 708-Tโ€™2026.

Sa pamamagitan ng kaukulang Panlalawigang Kapasyahan, layunin ng deklarasyon na mapabilis ang pagtugon ng pamahalaan sa pangangailangan ng mga Bulakenyong naapektuhan ng kalamidad, kabilang ang agarang pagbibigay ng relief assistance, food and non-food items, medical assistance, rehabilitation at iba pang kinakailangang serbisyo.

Inaasahan ding magsisilbing daan ang deklarasyon upang mas mabilis na maisakatuparan ang mga hakbang para sa rehabilitasyon at pagbangon ng mga komunidad, gayundin ang pagpapatupad ng mga mekanismo upang maprotektahan ang publiko laban sa hindi makatarungang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin at iba pang pangangailangan.

Sa harap ng panibagong hamon, nananatiling nakatuon ang pamahalaan sa kaligtasan, kapakanan ng bawat Bulakenyo.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

๐Ÿ“ข PUBLIC ADVISORY: Suspension of In-Person Classes | City of Malolos

In light of the expected inclement weather due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and as precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of our learners and school personnel, IN-PERSON CLASSES in ALL LEVELS in both public and private schools are suspended tomorrow, August 19, 2026.

Schools are instructed to implement learning continuity modalities, which must be monitored by school heads and supervisors. This suspension aims to prevent exposure to potential hazards caused by the prevailing weather conditions.

The public is advised to remain indoors, monitor official weather updates from PAGASA, and stay alert for further announcements from the City Government of Malolos and local school authorities.

Let us all stay vigilant and take the necessary precautions to safeguard lives and property.
