Living in dignity and free from poverty is a fundamental human right.

Yet, if current trends continue, 575 million people will still be living in extreme poverty by 2030.

“Eradicating poverty is an essential foundation for humane, dignified societies that leave no one behind,” said Secretary-General on Thursday’s Day.

“Let’s re-commit to making poverty history."

Service Through Strong Brotherhood: Empowering Communities Together
By Eagle Tony Cama

In the heart of every Eagle lies a fervent desire to serve, a flame ignited by brotherhood that transcends borders and binds us in a noble quest. As members of the Offroaders Region Eagles, we embark on a journey—one where compassion fuels our every step, illuminating the paths we tread in service to humanity. This mission is profoundly influenced by the exemplary leadership of Governor Lord Nebres, whose vision inspires us to reach new heights in our endeavors.

Under his guidance, our commitment to humanitarian outreach becomes not just a responsibility but a calling that resonates deep within our souls. Each project undertaken, each hand extended in kindness, represents a promise—that we will not turn our backs on those in need. Through the influence of Governor Lord Nebres, we envision a future where the Eagles Club flourishes throughout the Philippine Archipelago, echoing our spirit of service across the nation. Together, we can weave a fabric of hope, uniting Eagles across the country.

At the core of our mission lies the essence of fellowship—a sanctuary where camaraderie thrives and fraternity flourishes. Inspired by Governor Lord Nebres, we cultivate bonds that uplift us all. In the embrace of our brotherhood, we foster healthy relationships through shared experiences, laughter, and unwavering support. Empowered by his example, we stand together in times of joy and sorrow alike, affirming our collective strength.

Beyond connection, we are driven by a relentless pursuit of opportunity—a quest for professional, cultural, and social exchanges that enrich our lives and the lives of those around us. With the steadfast influence of our leader guiding us, we navigate the currents of life together, becoming vessels of knowledge. We share insights and experiences that propel us toward mutual success and transform aspirations into reality.

Recognizing the power of knowledge, we actively promote research, scientific inquiry, and education. Our gatherings serve as forums for open discussions, where ideas flow freely and minds expand. Here, we delve into topics that challenge us, ignite our passions, and shape the future we envision—one marked by progress and enlightenment.

Importantly, we carry with us a commitment to impartiality. While we embrace a vast range of topics in our discussions, we consciously steer clear of partisan politics during our meetings. Our focus must remain on the ties that bind us—a brotherhood strengthened by integrity, respect, and a mutual desire for upliftment. Every official position we hold within the Philippine Eagles is a sacred trust, demanding our ethical conduct and unwavering dedication to our mission.

Together, as Eagles bound by a fraternal pledge, we seek to be a guiding light for those who face struggles. Our hearts beat in unison, dedicated to the needy, nurturing our communities, and uplifting our fellow Eagles. We understand that our strength lies in our unity and our resolve to act—hand in hand with those who rely on us.

In the end, our journey is defined by our impact. Through "Service Through Strong Brotherhood," we forge a legacy of compassion, resilience, and hope. Let us soar to new heights, bringing light to the darkest corners of our world and inspiring all with our unwavering commitment to service. Together, under the esteemed leadership of Governor Lord Nebres, we can create a tomorrow where every Eagle, every community, and every life touched knows the warmth of our brotherhood and the strength of our united purpose.

The 45th National Congress: A Gathering of Leadership and Vision
By Eagles Tony Cama

On November 23-24, 2024, the Philippine Eagles, Inc. will host the 45th National Congress, which coincides with the 4th Regular Session of the 44th National Assembly. This significant event is poised to bring together leaders from various regions, all dedicated to advancing the organization's mission and community initiatives.

In preparation for this congress, a planning meeting took place at 2:00 PM, October 22, 2024, setting the stage for collaborative discussions and strategic goal-setting. Attendees included some of the most influential figures within the organization, ensuring that diverse perspectives were represented.

Among the key participants was Kuya Cesar Yamuta, the National Secretary General of Philippine Eagles, Inc., known for his commitment to fostering camaraderie and leadership within the organization. His insights are anticipated to guide the direction of discussions and decisions made during the congress. Alongside him was Kuya Gov. Lord Nebres, the Governor of the Offroaders Region, who brings a wealth of experience in regional governance and community engagement. His presence underscores the importance of regional representation and the interplay between local and national leadership.

Also in attendance was Eagles Tony Cama, serving as the Offroaders Region Information Secretary. His role is critical, as communication strategies will likely be a focus of the congress, enabling members to remain informed and involved in the organization's initiatives.

In Unity and Purpose: A Gathering in Anticipation of the 44th Eagles National Congress
By Eagle Tony Cama
Sogo Function Area, Sogo Hotel, Malate, Manila City | 11:00 AM, October 13, 2024

Beneath the soft, gilded lights of the Sogo Hotel, in the heart of Malate, Manila, leaders from the Fraternal Order of Eagles convened for a gathering not merely of minds, but of hearts united in a common cause. It was a meeting laced with purpose, vision, and the unwavering drive to ensure the success of the forthcoming 44th National Congress—a guiding light of leadership and fraternity.

Presiding over the meeting was NVP Arnel Bautista, whose presence, steady and resolute, commanded the room with the quiet strength of a leader who sees beyond the horizon. Alongside him, a cadre of distinguished Eagles, each a guardian of a vital element of this grand undertaking, shared in the sacred responsibility of shaping this monumental event. The roll call was a testament to the diverse and dedicated spirit of this brotherhood:

Among those present were NVP Arnel Bautista, who presided over the meeting, alongside Cesar Yamuta, the Secretary General. The gathering also included distinguished leaders such as Governor Ram Aquino, Alexander T. Alag, Ron Imam, Chamry Imam, Joan Torres, Jean Aquillo, Erwin Torrefiel, Governor Lord Nebres, Governor Nelson Biasura, and Tony Cama. Each member contributed their unique insights and commitment to the success of the upcoming 44th National Congress.

As the morning sun shone through the windows, casting warmth over the gathering, the discussion commenced with the formation of committees, the very framework that would breathe life into the Congress. The essence of teamwork—an undeniable pillar of the Eagles’ core values—was at the forefront, as committee chairs were chosen, entrusted with their roles as stewards of the event’s vision.

With each name spoken, with each title conferred, there was a quiet understanding that these roles were more than just tasks—they were commitments, burdens borne with honor. Each chairperson was called upon not just to lead, but to inspire, to rally their fellow Eagles toward a common goal, much like the flight of the eagle that soars highest when it flies with purpose.

Lunch was served, a momentary pause in the tide of deliberations, but even in that brief respite, the spirit of fraternity remained, woven into the very fabric of the conversation over shared meals. There was laughter, camaraderie, but always, the underlying rhythm of the work ahead.

After the break, the meeting resumed with an even greater sense of urgency. As the clock ticked closer to the event, the responsibilities of each committee were meticulously discussed. Every task became a thread, and together they formed the foundation that would make the 44th National Congress not just a possibility, but a triumph. From logistics to programming, every detail was examined, every challenge anticipated.

Of course, no grand endeavor can unfold without the backing of resources. And so, the financial requirements were laid out like cards on a table—each cost, each necessity, each dream hinged on the availability of funds. Together, they tackled these questions with the pragmatism of seasoned leaders and the hope of visionaries who know that the strength of their mission lies not in numbers, but in the unwavering commitment of those willing to give.

And so, with the weight of duty and the lightness of brotherhood intertwined, the meeting concluded not with finality, but with the promise of what’s to come. Every chairperson left with a clear path before them, knowing that they are not alone but part of something larger—a family of Eagles soaring toward a common sky, bound by a purpose that transcends any individual effort.

As the day drew to a close, the room emptied, but the air was thick with the energy of what had been accomplished and what was yet to unfold. The 44th National Congress looms on the horizon, but the foundation has been laid. The Eagles will gather once more in November, and when they do, it will be as a tribute to what can be achieved when unity, purpose, and dedication soar on the wings of leadership.

In this brief moment, under the roof of Sogo Hotel, the future took flight.

UNAP Global, Led by Ric Cruz, Champions World Mental Health Day: A Call to Action
By Tony Cama

On October 10, 2024, under the compassionate leadership of Global UNAP President Ric Cruz, the Global United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNAP Global) joins the world in celebrating World Mental Health Day. This significant occasion calls upon humanity to rise in solidarity, honoring the theme "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right."

This year’s theme resonates deeply, reminding us that the right to mental well-being is not a privilege reserved for the fortunate—it is a universal entitlement for every soul across the globe. Mental health, like the air we breathe, knows no boundaries. It is a necessity that touches the lives of every person, from the crowded streets of the world’s largest cities to the remote, quiet corners of the earth.

Led by President Ric Cruz, UNAP Global stands at the forefront of this movement, not just to reflect, but to inspire and ignite real change. In a world often fractured by division and uncertainty, mental health issues cross every border, uniting us in shared struggles. These challenges transcend nationality, race, and culture, reminding us of the common thread that binds all of humanity.

This year's celebration compels us to take action for the millions who still suffer in silence, those who face immense barriers to accessing care. The theme challenges us to lift the veil of stigma and shame, to create a global culture where mental health care is as accessible, respected, and protected as any other basic human right.

President Ric Cruz, a steadfast advocate for mental health, urges us to recognize that mental health is not a luxury, but an essential component of well-being. He reminds us that behind every statistic is a human story—a life deserving of care, understanding, and healing.

This day is more than a celebration—it is a clarion call, a moment to remember that mental health is central to our very existence. It is the foundation upon which we build lives filled with love, resilience, and purpose. By advocating for universal access to mental health services, we are defending the core of what it means to be human.

UNAP Global, under the visionary leadership of Ric Cruz, stands committed to ensuring that mental health care becomes a reality for all. Together with international partners, healthcare professionals, and community leaders, we strive to create a world where every individual, regardless of their background, can access compassionate and dignified mental health services.

Let this day serve as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility. Let it inspire us to break down the barriers that keep so many in the shadows. Today, we renew our commitment to protect and uplift the mental well-being of all people, for Mental Health is a Universal Human Right—a right that must be fought for, cherished, and upheld.

On this day, led by the heart and vision of Ric Cruz, we rise together in unity and hope. We honor the voices of those who have been silenced and forgotten. We stand for those who continue to battle in silence. And we pledge to create a future where mental health is a priority for all.

Together, we embrace this journey of healing, for when we stand for mental health, we stand for humanity.
