The Commission on Student Elections (COSEL) acknowledges the concerns and discussions surrounding COSEL Resolution No. 014, Series of 2026. As the independent electoral body mandated to administer student elections, COSEL believes it is important to provide the student body with a clear account of the process undertaken, the consultations conducted, and the basis upon which Resolution No. 014 was released.

This statement is issued in the interest of transparency, accountability, and the Commission's continuing commitment to uphold the Constitution and faithfully carry out its mandate. The Commission likewise recognizes the authority of the UMak Student Judicial Council (SJC) on matters of constitutional interpretation and shall await the release of its official written ruling on the matter.

In accordance with the 2019 Amended USC Constitution and the Campus Coordinating Council Implementing Rules and Regulations, the Commission on Student Elections (COSEL) hereby issues this Resolution to clarify the positions subject to election in the Campus Coordinating Council (CCC) and to provide official guidance for the conduct of the CCC Elections 2026.

Pursuant to Article XII, Section 1 of the 2019 Amended USC Constitution, the President of the University Student Council shall serve as the Chairperson of the Campus Coordinating Council by virtue of office (ex officio). Consequently, the position of Chairperson shall not be included among the elective positions for the CCC Elections 2026.

Accordingly, the elective positions for the CCC Executive Council shall be limited to the positions of Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Auditor.

Matagumpay na isinagawa ng Student Judicial Council ang 2026โ€“2027 Oath-Taking Ceremony sa University of Makati Auditorium bilang pormal na pagsisimula ng panunungkulan ng mga bagong halal at itinalagang opisyal ng iba't ibang organisasyon ng Unibersidad.

Ang seremonya ay nagsilbing pagpapatibay ng kanilang panata na mamuno nang may integridad, pananagutan, at dedikasyon sa paglilingkod sa komunidad ng mga mag-aaral. Bilang tagapagtaguyod ng katarungan at mabuting pamamahala, nananatiling katuwang ang Student Judicial Council sa paghuhubog ng mga lider na may malasakit, kakayahan, at paninindigan.

On June 10, 2026, University of Makati Tunog Kawayan delivered a captivating musical performance during the Commission on Student Elections (COSEL) and Higher School ng UMakโ€“Supreme Student Commission on Elections (HSU-SCOM) Turnover, and on the 2nd day of the Oath-Taking Ceremony 2026, held at the UMak Auditorium.

The performance added a vibrant and cultural atmosphere to the event, which marked the formal transition of leadership and the induction of newly elected student leaders and election officials. The ceremony highlighted the values of integrity, responsibility, and service as the new officers officially assumed their respective roles.

The UMak Siglahi Folk Dance Company bloomed on the UMak Auditorium stage as they held intermission performances for the 1st day of the UMak Commission on Student Elections (COSEL) and Higher School ng UMak-Supmre Student Commission on Election (HSU-SCOM)'s organized Oath-Taking Ceremony last June 9, 2026.

The ensemble blended with the formal and traditionally themed setting of the eventโ€”with sophisticated movements and recognizable tunes. The well preserved culture by their showcase of honed skills and talents reflected the main themes of this eventโ€”upholding legacy while consistently displaying their commitment for leadership and the arts.
