Bantayog, in partnership with MENRO and the barangay officials of Pangi, Wali, and New La Union, recently led an environmental planning meeting to discuss strategies for better protecting and caring for the environment across the three barangays. This initiative marks the beginning of a series of collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening environmental awareness and sustainable practices in the community.
During the meeting, it was agreed that Bantayog, together with MENRO and the barangay officials, will conduct a Zero Waste Campaign, which will include household visits to raise awareness and promote proper waste management practices. While the exact date of the campaign has yet to be finalized, the discussions laid the groundwork for active community participation and continuous environmental care.
This planning session highlights the commitment of Bantayog, local government units, and barangay leaders to foster a culture of environmental responsibility. The project and meeting were supported by the Womenโs Alliance for Security and Peace, who will assist in the campaignโs implementation. This collaboration represents a clear step forward in promoting sustainability and unity among the communities of Pangi, Wali, and New La Union.
