The Iranun Youth Peace Camp 2025 brought together young peace advocates for a transformative 3-day camp at Camp Abubacar, Brgy. Tugaig, Barira, Maguindanao del Norte

Rooted in the values of Respect, Empowerment, and Volunteerism, the camp became a space for learning, reflection, and actionโ€”where youth united through peace initiatives, shared stories, and strengthened their commitment to building a more peaceful and inclusive community.

Before the camp officially concluded, the IYPA and its new members held the Election of Officers for the 2026โ€“2028 term, marking an important step in strengthening youth leadership and peace advocacy.

This was followed by the Closing Program, where certificates of participation and appreciation were awarded to the participants and the 1st Marine Brigade in recognition of their active involvement and valuable support.

The Iranun Youth Peace Advocates (IYPA) proudly assisted in the Superstar Paskong Handog and Year-End Party at the Headquarters Marine Battalion Landing Team 2 last December 28, 2025.

DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Day 2 of the Iranun Youth Peace Camp 2025 was a day of reflection, skill-building, and connection. The morning opened with a meaningful Peace Walk, giving participants space to reflect on history, unity, and the shared journey toward peace.

In the afternoon, the youth engaged in Creative Arts and Expression alongside Knot-Tying for Camping Skills, where they expressed their visions of peace through art while also learning practical outdoor skills that emphasized discipline, preparedness, and teamwork.

The day ended on a high note with a lively Talents and Socialization Night, celebrating confidence, creativity, and friendshipโ€”strengthening bonds and fostering unity among participants.

The afternoon session of Day 2 focused on Knot-Tying for Camping Skills, conducted by PFC Ronald Castillano of the Philippine Navy Marines. Participants were trained on practical knots essential for camping, shelter setup, and outdoor safetyโ€”building both confidence and self-reliance.

Beyond technique, the activity emphasized discipline, preparedness, and teamwork, reminding the youth that peace-building also requires readiness and strong foundational skills.

Day 2 took our participants on a meaningful Peace Walk to the Hashim Salamat Residence, where learning met teamwork and reflection. Along the route, three game stations challenged each groupโ€™s strategy, communication, and unity.

Every failed game came with a twist โ€” one member was blindfolded as a punishment, reminding everyone that peace requires trust, guidance, and collective responsibility. Through laughter, challenges, and shared experiences, the youth learned that no one walks the path to peace alone.
