Hello fellow Magudmenyouths! The Supreme Secondary Learner's Government (SSLG) will be conducting a Poster Making Contest! This event will be an opportunity for students to lend and showcase their own unique set of skills when it comes to arts!
Not only that this is a competition that brings all artist's together but this can also help our fellow institution by the Fundraising factor within it, so now fellow Magudmenyouths, what are you doing! It's time to join in the fun and feast upon what the event offers!
On September 25th in the Computer Lab, the poster-making event will officially start off its event, giving each of the contestants 3 hours to work on their own artworks.
The following are the set of Rules and Mechanics.
I. PARTICIPANTS
Each department must only have a representative of one while lending their own artwork individually.
II. MATERIALS
The organizer will provide (โ
) illustration boards for each of the participants from their respective departments. Participants can bring their own coloring materials; any set of coloring materials will do.
III. MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
Participants must create an original artwork that clearly represents the theme โTeacher, Ikaw Namanโ directly on the provided ยผ illustration board within a 3-hour time limit. Printed or hand-drawn references on paper are allowed for inspiration, but the use of cell phones, tablets, laptops, and other electronic devices is strictly prohibited. Tracing, pre-drawn outlines, or transferring an illustration onto the board is not allowed and will lead to automatic disqualification. All artworks must be submitted to the designated committee immediately after the time ends, and participants are expected to maintain cleanliness, proper conduct, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
IV. FUNDRAISING COMPONENT
The Poster Making Competition will also serve as a fundraising activity for the Teachersโ Day celebration through a โPiso Runningโ drive from September 28 to October 2, 2026. Collections will be done twice daily at 12:00 noon and 4:00 PM by assigned SSLG officers. Students and members of the school community may voluntarily contribute โฑ1 or any amount they wish to donate. All funds collected shall be properly recorded and accounted for by the designated SSLG officers.
V. AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
The Top Three participants of the Poster Making Competition will be declared as winners. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners will each receive a Certificate of Recognition, a medal, and tokens. The awarding of winners will be held during the designated Teachersโ Day celebration program.
VI. DISQUALIFICATION
A participant will be automatically disqualified for using or operating a cell phone or any electronic device during the competition, tracing or transferring a pre-drawn illustration onto the board, using pre-made or previously completed artwork, receiving assistance from another person in creating the artwork, or violating any of the stated competition guidelines.
VII. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
The judging for the Poster Making Competition will be based on 5 criteria totaling 100%.
Judging Criteria:
1. Interpretation and Relevance to the Theme - 30%
2. Creativity and Originality - 20%
3. Composition and Visual Impact - 15%
4. Craftsmanship and Neatness - 10%
5. Peopleโs Choice โ Piso Running - 25%
For the People's Choice, points are based on funds raised: 1st highest gets 25%, 2nd highest gets 20%, 3rd highest gets 15%, and all other participants get 10%.
