As we introduce Filipino food on a global platter, Angeles City, Pampanga joins the roster of nominees under Asia’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination 2024 by the World Culinary Awards.

Celebrated as the country’s Culinary Heartland, Pampanga (Angeles City) will represent the Philippines to edge out other culinary hotspots: Hanoi (Vietnam), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Kyoto (Japan), and Taipei (Taiwan) for this year's edition of Asia’s Best Emerging Culinary City Destination.

The World Culinary Awards is the sister event of the World Travel Awards inaugurated in 1994. Often dubbed as the "Oscars of the travel industry," it honors and celebrates excellence in travel and tourism.

The CBEE, specifically BSHM 3D under the department of hospitality management, organized a symposium last April 22, 2024 headed by their event advisor, Mr. Marvie M. Guinto. Also, the symposium was attended by the tourism and hospitality enthusiasts from different universities, some faculty members and staffs.

Along with the successful event, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗦. 𝗟𝗮𝘀, Manager of Inflight-Service at PAL Express, emphasized his learnings from experiences to "𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘤𝘦". On the other hand, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗚. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗱, Talent Acquisition Consultant of Cruise Ship at MMC shared his expertise in the cruise line industry where in cruise "𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘢𝘬𝘭𝘶 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘶". He also underlined that cruise ships provide a vast array of possibilities and everyone is welcome.
