Mabini NHS Marks National Reading Month with Vibrant Culminating Activities

Mabini, Davao de Oro — Mabini National High School successfully concluded the National Reading Month celebration with a series of engaging literacy-centered competitions and performances aimed at strengthening students’ love for reading and storytelling.

Highlighting the culmination program were four major contests: Bidyokasiya, 5-Minute Speech Advocacy, Story Retelling, and Sabayang Pagbasa. Each event showcased the learners’ creativity, confidence, and communication skills as they delivered powerful messages and compelling interpretations before their peers and teachers.

One of the most anticipated parts of the program was the special appearance of the Storytelling Mystery Reader, Ms. Aimee Nadela, who captivated the audience with her expressive narration. Her participation added excitement and inspiration to the celebration, reinforcing the importance of storytelling in building imagination and literacy.

Teachers and school administrators lauded the participants for their outstanding performances and thanked the English Department and Reading Coordinators for successfully organizing the event. The culmination reaffirmed Mabini NHS’s commitment to promoting reading proficiency and nurturing lifelong learners.

As National Reading Month comes to a close, the school continues its mission to foster a reading culture among students—one story, one voice, and one reader at a time.
