Today, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Southern Leyte Chapter joined the Provincial Government and the City Government of Maasin in warmly welcoming Consul Wang Jinjun and Vice Consul Liu Mingyang of the Chinese Consulate-General in Cebu during their courtesy visit to our province.

The productive meeting held at the Provincial Capitol brought together local government officials, farmer organizations, and business leaders. Discussions centered on strengthening partnerships, expanding market access, and exploring new opportunities in trade, investment, tourism, and agriculture for the benefit of Southern Leyteños.

We thank Governor Damian G. Mercado, Vice Governor Rosa Emilia G. Mercado, Mayor Luz V. Mercado and Congressman Roger G. Mercado for facilitating this meaningful engagement, and we look forward to continued collaboration that will open more doors for our local products and enterprises.

PCCI-Southern Leyte Attends Dialogue with the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas

By invitation of the PCCI Eastern Visayas Regional Governor, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Southern Leyte Chapter participated in the dialogue with Hon. Philip Lo, Secretary and Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, held on September 2, 2026 at Summit Hotel Tacloban.

Our chapter was represented by the President, the Vice President for Internal Affairs, and one member of the Board of Trustees. The activity, organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tacloban-Leyte, Inc. (PCCITLI) and the Tacloban Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (TFCCCI), gathered government officials and business leaders from across Eastern Visayas.

Discussions centered on the Administration’s plans, priorities, and development agenda for the region, emphasizing stronger collaboration between government and the private sector.

PCCI-Southern Leyte expresses its sincere appreciation to Hon. Philip Lo, the PCCI Eastern Visayas Regional Governor, PCCITLI, TFCCCI, and all participants for the meaningful exchange and shared commitment to the progress of Eastern Visayas.
