The Rotaract Club of Lucena Generation Alpha officially launched its Club Kick-off activity entitled "Project Tanglaw: A Light for Every Journey" last July 19, 2026. The initiative aimed to support and enhance the safety of local boatmen, who serve as vital transport providers in the community, especially during night voyages.

Recognizing the daily hazards faced by boatmen navigating dark waters, the club selected deserving beneficiaries to receive heavy-duty flashlights. These essential tools are designed to serve as primary guides while steering their boats and safely transporting passengers at night or during low-visibility weather conditions.

During the turnover, the club members personally engaged with the beneficiaries to express their appreciation for their hard work and dedication. The boatmen expressed their heartfelt gratitude, sharing how much the equipment would help prevent accidents and ensure smoother, safer trips for everyone on board.

"Project Tanglaw" marks a meaningful start to the rotary year—underscoring the club’s commitment to addressing practical community needs through hands-on service. By casting a literal and symbolic light on the everyday journeys of local heroes like our bangkeros in Brgy. On July 19, 2026 the Rotaract Club of Lucena Generation Alpha gathered for its annual Club Orientation, Strategic Planning, and Team Building event, featuring PP Paul Escobar as the guest speaker. The activity aimed to ignite passion, strengthen camaraderie, and set a clear direction for the upcoming rotary year.

PP Paul Escobar took the participants on a deep dive into the rich history of Rotary and Rotaract. He highlighted how a simple vision evolved into a global movement of service, reminding everyone of the honor and responsibility that comes with being a Rotaractor. Building on this foundation, PP Paul guided the team through the club's core goals, emphasizing the importance of alignment, strategic project ex*****on, and sustainable community impact.

Following the learning session, the members transitioned into strategic planning and interactive team-building activities. On July 11, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Lucena Generation Alpha, in collaboration with its event partners, co-hosted PROJECT B.O.B.O. (Bringing Out the Best in Others) Year 2 at SLSU Lucena. The seminar was designed to equip young student leaders with essential skills in leadership, governance, and policy-making.

The program opened with a short welcome and a message emphasizing genuine service over publicity. The event then proceeded to three core learning sessions. The first session focused on Good Governance, highlighting the importance of having a clear core purpose and grounding student leadership in solid advocacy and evidence-based projects. The second session, LEGISforward, introduced the basics of local policy-making, which participants immediately applied through a hands-on workshop on drafting resolutions and ordinances. The final session covered youth leadership frameworks and introduced the YOUTHIVATE approach to building sustainable community programs.

Each segment included an open forum where participants engaged directly with invited guest speakers Hon. Javier, Hon. De Guzman, and Hon. Aguinaldo. The seminar concluded with the presentation of certificates, closing remarks, and a group photo, reinforcing the joint effort of the co-hosts and the youth's role as proactive catalysts for positive change in the community.

From June 13 to 14, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Lucena Generation Alpha participated in the Area 3 club planning and fellowship held at Sireyo Resort in Brgy. Ibabang Palale, Tayabas City. The two-day event brought together Rotaractors from various clubs across Quezon and Marinduque to collaborate on leadership development and strategic preparations for the upcoming term.

The program officially opened on the first morning with a series of outdoor team-building activities. These interactive challenges were designed to break the ice, building trust and camaraderie among the delegates from different chapters while honing their communication skills. By the evening, the event transitioned into the formal planning session and club presentations. During this segment, each club took the floor to present their upcoming targets, community projects, and administrative roadmaps, allowing everyone to share best practices and insights on volunteer mobilization.

The night concluded with a fellowship session, giving members a casual environment to network, share experiences, and strengthen their personal bonds. On July 1, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Lucena Generation Alpha met alongside the Rotaract Club of Lucena Central to discuss upcoming club activities and coordinate plans for the new term. The joint session was privileged to have the presence and guidance of our Youth Director Jeffrey Spencer Dael and IPP Alfredo Delos Reyes. Their leadership insights helped steer the conversation, ensuring that both clubs have a clear direction as they begin drafting their respective project timelines.

The entire meeting focused on open communication and concrete project development. Members from both sides shared creative ideas, suggesting specific community service efforts and engagement activities that could be launched in the coming months. Instead of working in silos, the attendees actively gave inputs on how to make each project concept more feasible, taking into account the availability of volunteers, budget considerations, and local community needs.

The meeting ended on a high note with everyone on the same page regarding the immediate next steps.
