Lucena City National High School Youth for Environmental in Schools Organization (YES-O) collaborated with Don Victor Ville National High School. (DVVNHS)

Last January 31, 2026, the LCNHS YES-O officers collaborated with DVVNHS YES-O for an outside school tree planting activity.

The activity was conducted not solely to help the schoolsโ€™ environment, but also strengthen and enhace teamwork and collaboration among students.

With the presence of Sir Marlou Abel, Officer in charge of DVVNHS, Maโ€™am May Anne Ricafort, YES-O Coordinator of DVVNHS, Elfa Climacosa, DVVNHS SPTA President, Ruby Molera, DVVNHS SPTA Auditor, Blessie De Luna, DVVNHS SPTA Secretary and Maโ€™am Rosechin Llave, LCNHS YES-O adviser turning the activity into a success.

The Vice President of DVVNHS YES-O John Marco Boere was also present together with Jerome Costuna, DVVNHS YES-O Auditor.

YES-O Officers spent half of their day planting and creating new memories. Painting, planting, and working was all fun and memorable because it was done with a purpose. This activity allowed our officers to share their skills and knowledge.

Morever, the activity was a success. Helping these young advocates for the betterment of our environment build stronger connection, teamwork and collaboration with one another. ๐Ÿƒ

The TUGSAYAWIT Competition was held last September 19, 2025 at Don Victor Ville National High School as part of the Science Month Celebration. The event became a venue for students to showcase their skills in singing, dancing, and music.

Participants displayed outstanding talent, creativity, and teamwork in their performances, which filled the program with energy and excitement. More than just a contest, the event promoted unity, confidence, and school pride among learners.

TUGSAYAWIT 2025 was truly a success, proving once again that Don Victor Ville NHS is home to talented and dedicated students.

Lucena City, Philippines โ€” September 20, 2025. In line with the observance of the 2025 International Coastal Clean-Up Day, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) officers of Don Victor Ville National High School (DVVNHS) took part in a massive clean-up drive held at Barangay Dalahican and Barangay Barra.

Guided by teachers Ms. Krylle Aira Mae Nuรฑez and Mr. Jayson Dapito, along with YES-O Coordinator Ms. May Anne Ricafort, the DVVNHS delegation joined hundreds of volunteers in collecting litter along the shoreline, ranging from plastic waste and bottles to other non-biodegradable materials.

Representing the school were the YES-O officers: Kyle Ashley Quina (President), John Marco Boere (Vice President), Beatrice Mae Marcilla (Secretary), Jerome Costuna (Auditor), and Mary Irelyn Lupian (Protocol Officer).

The event highlighted the importance of environmental protection, volunteerism, and collective responsibility. The activity not only contributed to the cleanliness of Lucenaโ€™s coastal areas but also served as a learning experience for the youth.

One student volunteer shared, โ€œWe came together to collect trash along the shoreline. Each of us had different ways of doing it, but we all shared the same purpose: to protect and preserve the sea for future generations.โ€
