YA Fam, as you prepare to rest tonight, know that we are praying for your safety and protection. Please take care, stay indoors, and keep safe with your families.

Let’s also continue to intercede for our country, that the Lord, our hiding place and refuge, a constant presence and help, and to whom the wind and waves obey, will calm the storm and protect our people.

You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. 𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. [2 Corinthians 4:6-7]

It is a joy for us – it always is a joy for us to take this responsibility in our own nation, in our own little community, in our own town, in our own association at work and school and family, to take every opportunity to evangelize and to give the glorious gospel of Christ.

𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗹. Don’t be afraid to tell people that hell is a reality and people are headed there if they’re among those who are perishing. But there is a rescue provided by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Be clear about the wonderful gospel of Christ. That’s why we’re here; otherwise, we might as well go to heaven if we’re not engaged and involved in that. You be faithful in your own personal life, be a gospel witness and a gospel testimony.

How will you know if someone is a genuine Christian by their fruit? By their fruit? 𝗠𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

Look at the way you walk. Look at the way you talk. Look at the passions of your heart. 𝑰𝒔 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆, 𝒐𝒓 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒅𝒅 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆?

Is he just something you do on Wednesday or Sunday?

Is he something that you give a mental assent to? Is he an accessory or is he the very center of your life? 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈?

𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅? Act like the world. Do you have an experience? The same joys that the world experiences. Can you love, sin and relish it? Can you love rebellion and relish it?

Then you know not God. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁. God has the power to change them.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ [Matthew 7:21-23]

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮?

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀' 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵?

And though His definition contains no prescriptions for acquiring cars, homes, or savings, it does require transformation and obedience.

Through the Beatitudes, we examine Jesus' timeless definition of happiness and explains that 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀' 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱—and an abiding joy that can never be taken away.
