The New Lipa City Hall: A Modern Landmark for "Bagong Lipa"

LIPA CITY, BATANGAS — Mayor Eric Africa is turning his vision of "Bagong Lipa" into a reality with the construction of the new Lipa City Hall. Located in the 92-hectare Areza estate in Bulacnin, this iconic structure serves as the heartbeat of the city’s new downtown.

Designed by the renowned firm Budji + Royal, the complex is more than just a government office. It features 72 elevated blocks representing Lipa’s 72 barangays, symbolizing a government that is deeply connected to its people. The "people-centered" design replaces traditional walls with open halls, lush gardens, and walkable parks, making public services more welcoming and accessible.

"The New Lipa City Hall mirrors our ambition for a smarter, more progressive city," says Mayor Africa. "It is a symbol of community pride and our commitment to bringing world-class service to every Lipeño".

The new City Hall is expected to be fully open and ready for the public this April 2026. Notably, this grand project is entirely locally funded. Engineered to be "pandemic ready", the facility ensures safe and efficient service delivery under any circumstances. With the Areza Estate and the new Lipa Agricultural Trading Center nearby, the project marks a bold leap toward Lipa’s future as a premier commercial and civic center in CALABARZON.
