PHOTOS: Herstory in the making - Zine making workshop on March 21 at Asilo en Lipa πŸ’–πŸ«Ά

From girlhood to womanhood, we explored what it means to be alive then and now. We revisited a moment in time when barbie dolls were devices of our tenderness or silliness. Reignited past dreams. Recalled pains of the past.

But most of all, we did it together. We stitched pages of OUR words. Our narratives.

Till the next! Thank you everyone 😊

The best part of celebrating our anniversary? YOU 🌟 Fellow creatives who are open and passionate about our shared dreams.

Meet Elah, an aspiring writer, song lyricist, and singer who brings out her rich inner world in unorthodox and freestyle approaches. She doesn't just create for self-expression. Her passion projects fuel her resilience.

Featured here is the excerpt of her short story, "the moon's tears". It portrays the tragic realization that hope without action is not always enough to change the world. It's a letter to my inner child who used to be unaware of the difference between reality and the world inside her head.

Follow her on Facebook and inspire each other to reflect on the power of creativity and writing.

The best part of celebrating our anniversary? YOU 🌟 Fellow creatives who are open and passionate about our shared dreams.

Meet Mavic ( ), a digital illustrator/designer who's bananas about bananas. She's been with us from the very first event, eagerly learning and sharing her own artistic journey.

Featured here is her booth setup for Women's Month by Patrons of the Arts. She drew and made stickers, keychains, prints, and zines about the perils of womanhood and BANANAS.

Show her some love on Instagram. Maybe even settle the age-old question, "Which type of banana is the best?"

Of all the zine-making techniques we tried, this might be our favorite. Bookbinding 😍

Here at the Little Women Society, we believe that gathering and creating something together is magical.

For centuries, women have turned to each other to receive some form of aid or support. When we tend to each other and form friendships, we heal each other. We nurture each other.

And what better way to connect than through art and shared stories?

Join us on March 21 as we stitch the stories that represent womanhood and what it means to be a woman in community. Learn to bookbind and make zines at Asilo en Lipa from 2:00 - 5:00 PM.

Be part of women who are courageous, creative, and in communion with each other - https://form.jotform.com/tlwslipa/zine-making-workshop

ALIGNED! For our first anniversary, we're celebrating the events that really solidified our identity and purpose as The Little Women Society.

Our last activity for 2025 was a Creative Journaling Community Session, where we met amazing people with the shared goal of reflecting and journaling before moving on to the new year. 🀍 This is the vibe, the energy that we bring to the function! Hoping we can keep creating these beautiful moments in 2026.
