EVENT HIGHLIGHTS ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ Q***r Art: Yap and Swap
Art is artivism. All of you are proof of that. ๐
The Little Women Society celebrated Pride month together with q***r and ally artists and Wagayway Equality advocates at Rahndevoo Coworking Space and Business Center on June 20.
The program kicked off with Q***r Kwentuhan, a panel discussion featuring Paul Danao, Head Artist & Partner of the Colors of Inclusion Project, CL Cantos, Executive Officer & Transgender Focal Person of Wagayway Equality, and Junicz, q***r tarot reader and Community Engagement Lead. Facilitated by co-founder Ish, they shared personal stories about their q***r journey and how expression through art gave them purpose.
After ending on a hopeful note, artists engaged in the Art Swap where they introduced themselves and then traded their art pieces with other members of the circles. Participants brought various artworks, including paintings, zines, stickers, crochet items, and poems.
As the program came to an end, many still lingered, yapping and swapping stories with one another. The energy and generosity were palpable, and perhaps everyone just wanted to relish the safe space they found a little longer.
Thank you to our Venue and Event Partners for making this event possible! Here's to more moments of authenticity and community here in the South ๐ค
